THREE

Lucy P.O.V

Natsu and I walked up to my room as I kept my expressionless face in plain sight.

I've been so cold hearted and quite since I was three years old. That's when my mother died. My father became so upset and started pushing things onto me. He would throw out all of his anger on me, and it would hurt me emotionally.

And physically.

It would seem like I'm the perfect girl that everyone adores and have that perfect life. But the eyes that were once the prettiest, have shed the most tears. And the hearts that were once kind.

Have felt the most pain.

As Natsu and I arrived to my room. I opened the door, but at the same time turned around the see Natsu's pink face. "Natsu, are you okay?" I touch Natsu's forehead. "You don't have a fever do you?" I stared in Natsu's onyx eyes. "I-I'm fine! Don't worry about me!" Natsu stepped back. "Okay" I take my hand off his forehead and walk into my room, throwing my backpack onto my bed.

I reached into my backpack to grab my notebook to take more drafts and notes. "We should take more notes" I sit down on my bed. "Natsu?" I stare at him, then I pat the spot on the bed next to me. "Sit right here" I laid my hand next to me as I stare at Natsu's red face again.

He slowly walked over to my bed and sat down next to me. Natsu cleared his throat then started to talk. "S-So...I was think that maybe we co--"

"Miss Lucy?" Virgo's voice spoke through the door as she knocked. "Yes Virgo?" I set my notebook on the bed as I stand up and walk to the door opening it.

"Your father wants to see you."

Oh no.

"O-Okay. I'll be there" I reluctantly walk to my father's office. As I walk down the dark and large hallways, I hear my father talking to one of his clients on the phone, screaming at them.

"What do you mean that the iPhone 6 Plus isn't waterproof?!" My father's voice shrieked my ears. "It should be!" He screamed once again.

I arrived at my father's office door as I continue to hear him scream.

Sooner or later he stopped, and I walked through the doors, and up to his desk.

"Hello father." I bow at my father. As I raised back up to stand my father slaps my face.

He's definitely angry at me.

"What were you thinking bringing a boy into our household?!" My father slapped me once again.

"I-I..." I touched my wounded cheek. "Well?! I'm waiting for an answer young lady!" My father pulls my hair.

"H-He was my partner at school for an assignment..." Tears swell into my eyes and eventually roll down my cheeks.

"So?! Ask your teacher if you can work alone!" My father kicked my in the stomach.

I fell down onto the floor and groaned as I squeezed my stomach in pain. "Remember the consequences if you do this again!" He kicked me in the side.

"Ahh!" I screamed throughout the whole house.

This kind of thing wasn't new. My father does this everyday.

And I was just waiting.

And waiting.

For someone to save me from this terrible life.

Natsu P.O.V

"Ahh!" I heard a female scream come throughout the house. "Don't tell me..." I stand up and walk out of Lucy's room.

"Lucy?"

I start to eventually run toward the scream that I heard and I ended up at a huge door. "F-Father..." I hear Lucy's voice come through the door. I lean my ears on the door to hear more of what's going on.

I heard a loud SLAP sound as my eyes widen. "Ahh!" I heard the scream again.

I rushed through those doors to see Lucy on the floor with bruises and blood coming out of her nose as the man before me, which seems to be Lucy's father standing and staring down at her.

"Lucy!" I rush over to her. "You bastard! How could you do this to your own daughter?!" I comfort Lucy as I see her eyes open a little.

"N-Natsu?..." Lucy chocks out of her throat. "You shouldn't be here" Lucy starts to tear up. " I can't just stand by and let you get beaten Lucy!" I start to put Lucy into my arms, eventually carrying her in my arms bridal-style.

"You...You don't know what you're getting into little boy..." Lucy's dad clutches his fist. "Leaves this house!" He tries to punch me in the face, but luckily I ran away from the punch as I was still carrying Lucy in my arms.

I run out of the house while carrying Lucy. "Where should I go?!" I yell at myself.

I started running and decided to take Lucy to my house. I see Lucy's dad open the door and yell at me, but I couldn't really hear him.

"Don't worry Lucy, I'll take care of you." I look at Lucy, but then revert my eyes forward as I keep running.
