'You have beautiful midnight hair and dazzling green eyes...' Diego said, and Julian smirked. His short hair followed the action.

Diego had a certain awe on his face, and Julian slapped him gently on his cheek. 'She's not your soulmate but thank you for the compliment.'

'It looks like you need more sun.' Diego admitted, and he broke off from staring. 'It's my turn in a few years, so I won't be stealing your girl first.'

'What if you could write to her? Then when she get's her... body back, she will know you want to meet?' Alfonzo suggested.

'That's a really good idea. Didn't you do that with your soulmate?'

'No...' Alfonzo trailed off, 'it was by chance that I'd met her again on a surfing competition in England. Their waves were so terrible, that we ended up touring London for a while.'

Julian took the paper from him and reached into his back pocket for a pen. 'What do I even say to her? I know nothing about her...'

'Don't talk about her, talk about you!' Diego said, 'no one wants' to answer a list of questions, she needs details of who you are and what you do.'

'I hope this works,' Alfonzo admitted, 'she will get back all her clothes no matter what you do to them, but I hope that if you put it in your back pocket, she'd also get a letter.'

Julian held the paper and began to scribble down a few words, then they gradually came tumbling from him. All his fish puns, especially the one of 'I hope you will be my lobster, (they mate for life)'

He included a few scribbled drawings, and tried to talk about as much as he could. How he is the son of a baker, how they own businesses in Italy, how he wants to find her the most...

'Diego!' He heard someone shout but barely comprehended the voice. 'Diego! Where is Julian?!' A short brunette came over to them on the beach.

'Julian isn't here Lucy. Sorry.' Diego said, 'we are busy, but you can come and find him tomorrow?'

'I wanted to tell him something important,' she admitted. 'But I guess it can wait until he's back.'

She caught a glimpse of Julian, who had the body of a girl. 'W-who are you?' she pouted.

Julian cleared his throat, and tried to steady his voice so it would sound like a girl. 'Hello.' He croaked.

Alfonzo stepped between them and put his arm around Julian. 'She's a friend.'

'Your friend I hope.' She gazed Julian up and down, 'your glasses are cute though.'

Julian flet his head and took off his glasses. The world seemed a little blurry without them on, but he loved that they were round and gold. The most adorable pair ever.

'I hope we can get to know each other.' Lucy continued, stepping towards Julian who was putting his glasses back on. 'What's your name?'

'Her name is... Mary.' Alfonzo filled in, but Lucy didn't care. She walked closer to Julian, examining him closely.

'We are going to be great friends.' Her sarcasm couldn't have been more obvious. She thrusted out her hands. Alfonzo tried to grab the letter from Julian, but only managed to rip off the corner.

Julian collapsed backward into the sea becoming drenched from head to toe. The letter was light and drifted above the water just enough for Alfonzo to dive in and retrieve it.

Most of the ink was smudged, but it had made it.

Julian had the deepest look of anger on his face, as his clothes were dripping.

'Oops!' Lucy smiled but Diego and Alfonzo both shouted 'no' loudly over her.

'When Julian comes back, tell him we need to talk.' She said to Diego, but he quickly stated.

'That is no way to treat someone you just met.' Followed by a glare on his face towards his sister.

'Who cares?' She said. 'I just started a love between her and Alf, he'll thank me for it.'

'He won't get over his soulmate. You already know that.' He said.

'Oh yes, if only he would have been wiser.' She laughed, and walked away to the docks.

Alfonzo gave the letter to Diego and swam back to help Julian out of the water.

'My lobster is hated by Lucy!' Julian cried.

'I wouldn't be concerned about that, keep your eyes on your soulmate. You letter got a bit wet though...'

Julian sniffed, 'it's okay. Thank you for saving it. Words of love and longing consumed me when I wrote to her. I want to meet her.' He began to wring out his hair, and the night began to cool down. He stripped off the damp cardigan, it seemed to be of some value.

'What do you have to even say to someone you've never met?' Alfonzo said, but he gazed off into the fireworks that were still exploding in the sky.

'It's hard to explain. How can you say how you feel, when all you want to do is be with the person you've been longing for the most?'

'You have been thinking about this way more than I realised.' Alfonzo confessed, 'but I was similar when it was my time to meet her. Cynthia was everything.' Julian drooped his shoulders and took Alfonzo in for a side hug.

'I'm sorry mate, she didn't know... do you think it will ever be someone else?'

'How? She was my soulmate, no one could come close to be her.' Alfonzo admitted.
