The day of the trip was here. Strawberry didn't want to go back to the place where she experienced so many horrible things. She knew that she had to, though. So she waited for Ryder to tell everyone to get ready. As she waited, she thought. She thought about what could happen there. She didn't want to see any of the other pups there especially not Terry, who had probably gotten meaner and more violent over the years.
She was curled up in her pup house, deep in thought, when she heard Ryder shout, "Alright, everyone get ready! We're leaving in fifteen minutes!" She then got out of her pup house and started packing. She couldn't stop thinking about what had happened in the past, back when she lived in the Lynxon Mountains.
She finished packing pretty quickly, and she brought her bag with her as she headed into the Paw Patroller. She saw all the other pups in there, except for Marshall. Then, she saw Marshall coming, but he tripped over his bag and fell flat on his face. "I'm okay!" Marshall shouted as he got up and came inside the Paw Patroller. Strawberry waited for the long drive to start.
Ryder came inside the Paw Patroller, and he closed the door. He reminded everyone to put their seatbelts on, then he told Robo-Dog to start driving. Strawberry knew that she couldn't back down now. She was facing her past again for the first time in years, and she was ready to let everyone there know that she's not the same pup she was before.
