Mina Oliveira was supposed to be hero, it was practically running through her veins but she didn't know if she had the strength to uphold the legacy of her heroic ancestors. She never asked to be apart of this world and she definitely didn't ask to be demigod.

But she could not deny the prestigious title that had forcibly bestowed on her. From the very moment that she had entered the world, her fate had already been predetermined by the gods. She was destined to be a hero, whether she wanted to or not. She was forced to carry this heavy burden on her shoulders.

And her father, Alexander Oliveira, tried his absolute hardest to hide her away from the world that she was destined to flourish in.

He knew all about the uncomfortable visions and the bloodthirsty monsters that lurked in the shadows. He did everything he could to keep her in the dark from the truth, hoping that would be enough to keep her safe. He wanted to be the one to carry the heavy burden of her heroic lineage until he was sure that she was ready to crave her own pathway.

But no matter how hard he tried, he knew that it would never be enough. He knew that one day he would have to let her carry this burden for herself. He knew that he had to let her pursue her fate and he had to let her become the hero that she was meant to be.

And when that nerve-wracking day had rolled around, the older male knew that he had to tell his daughter the truth about everything that he tried so desperately to hide away from her.

The story goes as followed . . . Alexander Oliveira was just a young mortal male, bursting to the brim with excitement and energy, when he had met the love of his life. It was the winter of 2004 and he had made the brave decision to move to New York City to take on a prestigious internship and pursue his doctoral studies.

In his first few days in the city, he had met a man that could only be described as breathtaking. His shining smile and enchanting blue eyes could cast a hypnotic spell on anyone who caught even a quick glimpse of them.

Alexander never thought he was capable of being in love but this man was was unlike anyone that he had ever met before. He was the epitome of perfect in his eyes. He was a man of many words and was able to seduce the Oliveira male with his charming ways and a dozen of love letters that he poured his heart and soul into.

The love that the males had shared during that cold winter was unlike anything that Alexander had ever experienced before. He could of sworn that he had been transported to heaven. He was in absolute bliss, practically high off of pure euphoria and he didn't want any part of it to end.
