..Jungkook stuttered, his heart racing. "Actually... genuinely speaking..."
Jin's voice came through the phone, incredulous. "You what?"
Namjoon, trying to keep the situation under control, sighed, "Jinnie, please calm down."
Jin wasn't having it. "Impossible. My son is in love with a... *bitch*?"
"I don't love him, yet!" Jungkook responded quickly. "And I'm not bitching around, okay?"
Jin, still upset, muttered, "Wow, what kind of son do I have? You're such a playboy."
"Jinnie," Namjoon interjected, "let him speak first."
Jin wasn't having it. "Alright, you two are identical-son and father," he sobbed dramatically. "I still remember how you were in love with that... *that* woman when we were young."
Namjoon sighed, exasperated. "No, I wasn't. I was just guiding her to the right path after the wine shop-don't make me say this!"
Jin snapped, "Are you really going to pretend you weren't flirting back then?"
Jungkook, rolling his eyes, said, "Stop it, you both sound the same." He could feel the tension. His parents were a comedy show of their own.
Jin turned his focus back to Jungkook, "Please, break up with her if you don't love her, son. Just stop playing with emotions. It's disrespectful. And why are you acting like your father?!" he sobbed, wiping his face.
Jungkook was already done with the conversation. "I told you, Jin, it's only been our first date. No, I didn't ask him out, he asked me first. I want to see where it goes."
Jin raised an eyebrow. "So, you're going to date him now and *maybe* fall in love later?"
"No," Jungkook replied, "not exactly like that."
Namjoon's voice is stern now. "Boy, I'm terribly disappointed if you're thinking of harming that poor soul, Taehyung."
Jin gasped, "Could you explain how you were *not* a playboy when you were younger?" His voice shook with disbelief.
Jungkook sighed. "Can we stop? Seriously. I don't love him yet, but I do want to in the future. I'm taking it slow."
"Are you a bottom now, my son?" Namjoon asked out of nowhere.
"Dad! No, I'm not-ugh!"
Jin couldn't hold it in. "Well, why didn't you ask for the date, then? Huh?"
Jungkook paused, looking at the ceiling. "I didn't ask because spending time with him, looking at him, and getting to know him gave me confidence. It just felt... right."
Namjoon, his voice soft with pride, muttered, "My son is fully grown up. I can't believe it."
Jin chuckled, "Of course, he's an adult now. But look at you, still breaking things." He smirked, poking fun at Namjoon.
Namjoon frowned. "I haven't broken anything in a week, thank you very much."
Jungkook, exhausted from the conversation, decided it was time to switch gears. "Okay, enough about me. Let's talk about Taehyung."
Jin perked up. "Oh? You're taking this seriously then?"
Jungkook smiled fondly. "Taehyung is an angel. He's grounded and humble, even though he comes from a well-off family. He's not flashy. I really like him, Dad. You'll love him."
Jin's tone softened, almost wistful. "Hmmm, alright. You're convincing me. I guess my boy is serious after all. Who is this Taehyung?"
Namjoon added, "Let Kook finish."
