Synopsis

Bang! The ward door was pushed open forcefully.

The man who entered was about to reprimand loudly when he saw a girl sitting upright on the bed. Her eyes looked lifeless as she looked out the window. A white cloth smeared with red blood was wrapped around her black hair and her forehead.

When Xia Wei heard the door open, she turned around and saw Chen Yuan. She frowned and wanted to speak, but she couldn't make a single sound.

As Chen Yuan looked at the girl's pale face, he suddenly felt guilty. After all, they had loved each other in the past. He quickly walked to the table, unscrewed the water bottle, and handed it to her.

After swallowing a large cup of water, Xia Wei finally felt revitalized. After she stared at the man in front of her and sized up him for a moment, she asked, "You are?"

Xia Wei leaned back against the bed and rubbed her hand on the cup as she asked, "Are you the new assistant? Why don't I see Xiao Bai?"

Chen Yuan was stunned as he stared at Xia Wei. Then, he smiled and the pity in his heart was gone.

He leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Xia Wei, I felt guilty that you tried to commit suicide over me. But now, you feel embarrassed and are pretending to have amnesia? Assistant?"
