A scream.

Alexander tripped, screaming, and fell, hitting the ground hard.

"Who's there?!" a man's voice yelled.

"John? Laurens? Is that you?" Alexander shouted back.

Footsteps, running to where Alexander was. The door opened, revealing none other than John Laurens.

"Lex, where are we?" Laurens asked breathlessly.

"I- I don't know. I just- I don't know. One second, I was in my tent, and now I'm here," Alexander said in confusion.

"Same, do- do you think there's anyone else here?" Laurens asked hesitantly.

Before Alexander could answer, another voice came.

"Hello? Mon dieu, is anyone here?"

"Laf?" Alexander yelled.

"Alexandre!" Lafayette shouted, and footsteps followed.

Lafayette came into the room, looking at Alexander, still on the ground, and then looking at Laurens.

"Do you guys know why we're here?" Lafayette asked, frowning.

"No-"

"Hello?!"

"General Washington?" Laurens shouted in confusion.

"Laurens?" Washington shouted back.

"In here!" Alexander yelled.

"Alex?" Washington yelled confusedly.

Footsteps, once again, and Washington entered the room. He glanced down amusedly at Alexander, who still hadn't stood from the ground.

"We should go to a more main area," Laurens said, looking around the small room.

"There might be more people," Alexander muttered.

"Let's go, then," Washington sighed, and they left the room, looking around the place.

"It's a cabin in the woods," Alexander observed, frowning.

"Perhaps we could leave? Explore?" Lafayette asked quietly.

"We could try," Washington nodded.

They made their way to the living room area, then to the door. Alexander stepped forward, trying to open the door.

"It's locked," Alexander grimaced.

The sound of multiple footsteps came closer and closer. On edge, they looked around for people.

"Hello?" Eliza said hesitantly, followed by Angelica and Peggy.

"Eliza!" Alexander exclaimed happily, rushing to her side and engulfing her in a hug.

Eliza chuckled, hugging him back tightly.

"Alex," she sighed happily.

They broke apart, and Alexander blushed in embarrassment, clearing his throat.

"Angelica, Peggy," he greeted with a nod.

"Hi, Lex," Peggy chuckled in amusement.

Angelica merely nodded, something like hurt flashing across her eyes.
