BLOOD PALACE

On a bus ride to the palace, Braline, Kitteria and Bell sat together as Myka, John and Dee sat on the opposite side of the bus.
“We’re going to find her”
Jp told her. “Why would he take her?”
“Because of me. Luka had spies, he knew I would show up at some point. Then he would have his best warriors attempt to destroy me”
“They will have to get through me first, I know I had little training but you taught me how, you’ve survived all this time and I know I can protect you like you’ve done me”
Kitteria said. “No one will never get to you because your too quick”
Braline said. “You caught me”
“Yeah because you wanted me to”
He countered back which made Kitteria smile. “By the way…is it a bad time to say Sam is going to be an auntie”
This caught Jp off guard. John scoffed.
“Really?”
“Hold up you’re pregnant?!”
Dee asked.
“It was apparently bound to happen”
Bell added.
“But their vampires, shouldn’t the young be more thirsty?”
Myka asked.
“Though that is a hazard even newborns tend to have but if a newborn drinks from animal life its thirst can be quenched for up to a year and then the growth starts to exceed through the months, it takes about 9 years to be a fully grown vampire”
Bell explained.
“When did you ever have time to check?”
Jp asked her. “When we got back to Osaka, if we don’t save Sam then we know what we’re fighting for”
“She will be saved”
Bell corrected.
Jp placed a hand over Kitterias stomach. He was going to be a father and he didn’t prepare for it. “Are you upset?”
She asked him. “No never. I just wish I was better prepared. It’s a big of responsibility”
Jp said. “I wish I married you first”
“Do that on your own time”
John muttered annoyingly.
“Really”
“Yes…after we save your sister and Luka is dead. Will you marry me?”
Kitteria was on the verge of crying but she stopped herself and hugged him dearly.
“Ask me that again afterwards. Promise?”
She whispered.
“I promise”
Jp said with a smile.

People were dressed up for the palace ceremony and Jp knew it to be a blood moon considering how many humans are here. “Find your sister and we will deal with the rest”
Myka said. “I hope you three are ready then you were in back alley”
“I remember knocking you out on the street”
Braline muttered.
“I remember having you pinned if it wasn’t for your little pet”
Kitteria held John by the throat and slammed him into the truck. “Go ahead make my day leech”
John taunted.
“Shall I kill you now and seal my sister’s fate?”
John chuckled darkly.
“Kitty…let him go”
Braline told her and she did so.
“And you smell like Jack shit wolf”
Kitteria said grabbing Jp by the arm.
“Alright now that you all had time to know each other. Jp, you and Kitteria will pose among the crowd while my guys plant explosives on the windows. We got twenty-five minutes until the sun rises and we can then open from both on top and underneath. Just be sure to not to be caught in the middle when shit hits the fan”
Dee said.
“We’re day walkers we don’t burn in the sun”
Bell said.
“A day walker? How the hell did you all manage to pull that off?!”
Dee exclaimed.
“A story for another time, Kitty let’s go find your sister”
Braline said.
John scoffed again and walked forward. It’s a good thing that the vampires wouldn’t be interested in him since he was a wolf and his scent was covered.

Braline and Kitteria entered the palace. So many humans around and vampires. “Are you thirsty?”
“Starving actually”
She whispered in his ear. He sniffed the air and smelled blood nearby and saw a bowl of it being brought to the table.
He grabbed her a cup and poured a glass and offered her some.
“It’s human. It’ll be a lot stronger than what your used too”
“Are you used to it?”
“It’s my first time”
He admitted.
“Then we will drink together and look for Sam”
She said.
Braline nodded and drink the glass as she did the same.
She swear out of everything she’d ever tasted humans blood was so sweet yet it left a lingering sour aftertaste.
Braline tasted human blood and immediately thought. It lacks something apart from the blood of animals.
“You don’t like it?”
A voice asked behind him.
He knew it to be a vampire.
Kitteria got closer to him.
Jp turned and saw a woman behind him. He knew this woman.
“Refreshing actually”
He said.
“Welcome home big brother. Luka will be proud to hear of your return”
Kitteria stepped out from behind him.
“Who might you be?”
“His wife”
Kitteria replied.
In her ear piece was Jenn who cursed.
‘He’s not your husband’
‘Jenn shut the fuck up’
“How wonderfully nice to meet you Miss?”
“Kitteria…Others call me lady Kitteria”
“Kyo Masaki. I’m his sister. Welcome to the family”
Kitteria knew that Kyo was a vampire but Kyo thought she was human.
“Nice to meet you”
Kitteria said a little anxiously. Kyo smiled and went to go find more guest.
“If she’s your sister then-“
“My family may be vampires too”
Jp feared this wouldn’t end well.
‘I found her’
Bell spoke in his ear piece.
“Where?”
‘By the head leech’
John answered.
“Luka”
“Stay beside me and watch your back”
“I know Daddy. Let’s at least give them a show first”
“Luka has your sister”
“I know but it will make matters worse if we rush it. We’re blending in right?”
“Yes but-“
“Dance with me”
She said thinking of something quick.
“Alright”
He held both of her hands and brought her closer to him.
“When we save Sam, does that mean we have to leave?”
“Not necessarily but if it proves to be too much for all of us then we shall leave”
He said spinning her around. “Lets just enjoy the moment now”
He told her.
So they danced on the floor as Luka watched. “Who’s the woman?”
“She claimed to be his wife and when I looked into her eyes, they weren’t human eyes”
“Vampire…then this is a celebration indeed. How’s our little flower doing?”
He motioned to Sam who was wearing different clothes. Her arm was rebroken back to the way it was normally. She wished she had stayed home, another part of her wished she could escape this place.
“Quiet”
“She won’t be when the ceremony begins”
Luka said which caught Sam’s attention.
She instantly thought of herself as a blood sacrifice.
“Any sign of his brother?”
“No I haven’t found him. The society must have claimed him”
“Then this is a great opportunity to strike back”
Luka said walking downstairs.
Jp and Kitty were here, they had come for her. Where was Bell Sam wondered.
