chapter three: first years again

~Quins Pov~

all my things were packed and settled into the car as I made my way to the accommodation, soon arriving after an hour or two. I couldn't tell as I had fallen back asleep in the back seat, we situated the car Infront of my dorm block getting out of the car and making my way to the front desk where I would get my key to my dorm, I talked to the lady briefly as she gave me my key and me and my dad made our way up too floor 4 room 204, I heard that this block was mainly a mixed roommate situation, luckily when I opened my dorm room door I couldn't see any other form of life just yet so I must of been the first to check in and will probably get my roommate later, I made my way into the dorm room, I took a look at the layout of the dorm seeing a little living room area on the left as soon as you walk in, just further in was the kitchen with a kitchen island in the middle, I made a right into the little corridor seeing 3 doors, the middle one leading to a bathroom that connected both bedrooms it seems, and the two bedroom doors on either side of me, I looked in both and decided to take the right side room closes to the entrance of the dorm. once I decided my father had already started to bring up my boxes, I moved them to my desired room beginning to decorate.

I first placed my cream coloured bedding onto the duvet and placing a big cream coloured blanket at the foot of the bed and adding my pillows. I decorated my desk with all my necessities like stationery, my laptop, chargers and any little decorative things I had to put up, I put some of my reading books like "Haunting Adeline" and "four or dead" and many more onto the shelves that decorated my wall, I walked into the closet that was situated at the back of my room next to the bathroom, it was a walk in closet and you guessed it, it was a shared closet too, I placed all my clothing onto the rails and put away everything I needed too before walking back into my room resting on my bed before seeing a few more things I needed to put up before the room was complete.

I made my way over to my desk picking up the LED strips proceeding to put them around the room, I also put some traveling up the wall and onto the ceiling before covering them with some stuffed material making them look like clouds, I also put some leave decorative pieces behind my bed that also travelled onto the ceiling, and to finish it of I hung up some mesh curtains either side of my bed for the looks. I finally sat on my bed out of breathe as I looked around the room I will be staying in for a while feeling complete and like I was at home.

I looked towards my door seeing my father stood there like he was about to cry, I stood up making my way over too him giving him a hug.

"ill be okay, ill message you all the time and keep you updated when I can." I say with a bright smile on my face.

"its just, my little girl is all grown up and I'm going to miss you a lot." Zaahir said squeezing his daughter tightly. "ill see you on summer break yeah"

"alright I love you dad" I said giving my dad a final squeeze before he grabbed his car keys and left.

I made my way back to my bed jumping on my bed facing the ceiling and spread out like a starfish. I got my phone and scrolled on Instagram for about an hour before getting a message from a group chat I was in.

Narvi: I've arrived and I'm settled in we should meet in the court yard

Meadow: me too ill be down in 10

Anastasia: ill be there too, what about you Quin

Quin: ill head down now since I'm finished unpacking

I turn my phone of placing it beside me before I got up walking into my closet grabbing a jacket and getting my phone and dorm keys putting on my shoes and heading out. I locked the door making my way to the elevator and pressing the ground floor. once it arrived I left the elevator and making my way outside going towards the court yard, I sat under the cherry blossom tree that was situated in the middle getting a bit of shade as I waited for the others to arrive. soon enough they all arrived one after the other, Narvi showing up first then Anastasia then Meadow.

"hey girls its been a while how was your break." I asked hugging each one with a smile on my face.

"the usual my brothers annoying me and getting ready to move here and spending time with my family" Anastasia her brown hair tied back into a low pony tail that hung over her shoulder.

"mine was alright I have some sad news." Meadow said twisting her hair around her finger.

"what is it girl?" Narvi asked her long black hair hitting her waist as she sat one leg over the other next to me on the bench.

"I kind of have to leave here soon my father needs me for business in another country and I might not return" Meadow said looking down at her feet.

"you will message though right?" I asked looking up at her with hopeful eyes.

"yeah you better message us" Anastasia said with a hit of sass in her voice as she placed her hand on her hip.

"ill try but no promises." Meadow said with a slight smile.

"but you unpacked already." Narvi said crossing her arms over her chest.

"yeah I kind of lied about that, I dint unpack, I don't even have a dorm I asked my dad to bring me so I could say my goodbyes." she said fiddling with her fingers.

"well we are going to miss you a lot." I said standing up and giving her a hug.

we all bid our goodbyes to Meadow before bidding goodbye to each other and making our way back to our dorms waiting for the long day ahead.
