Daisan no Isekai: The Quartet (Isekai Quartet x Tensura)

First Plan of Action

   That night, they left the Viscount unguarded in a locked room. Nobody is outside the room and yet the door unlocks, seemingly on its own, so he decides to attempt an escape. That door has been acting up for a while and it's an old building so he pays it no mind. He doesn’t hear the quiet snickering of a young boy and girl as he passes them without noticing. He knows the way... it's supposed to be his home after all. Slowly and sneakily moving down a corridor of rooms, moving into a large hall. The man quietly passes a room with a pair of short, young-looking, blonde elves as they are turned away. 'Those two would've been perfect for my business venture, shame.' he thinks to himself as he begins listening to their conversation. They were talking about something to do with him, about how they are going to torture him or something to that effect. He quickly moves on upon hearing their apparent plans, as he dares not linger.

   After Megumin and Kazuma unlock the door for the Viscount while using Kazuma’s <Lurk> ability to remain unnoticed, he leaves the room, through the hall and then passes the room with the twins as they inform their lord, Ainz through the 'Extra Skill' <Thought Communication> that their captive has escaped. The Guardians don't know when, or how, but they noticed that it has suddenly become much easier to telepathically communicate between each other and their lord. They don't even need the usage of Magic to do so. They don't yet understand the existence of 'Skills' and that their bodies are now compatible with Magicules, making it easier to acquire them. Demiurge does, however, have his own theory on the matter but he keeps it to himself for now.

   The Viscount is now moving through some vacant hallways and around the edge of a Banquet hall, having to find an opportunity in order to get past a pair of Demons in the process. One is wearing a pair of thin glasses. A male demon with slicked back hair and pointy ears wearing a fine striped suit. He seems to be preparing the oversized table for something but he'd rather not find out what for. The other looks like a rather 'well endowed' lady. Very beautiful with long, black hair and a pair of horns curving around her head, dressed in sturdy looking purple plate armor. She looks like she's standing guard. He'd be tempted to simply stand there and admire her looks if he wasn't about to die if he slips up. He thinks to himself that these demons are pretty stupid, or perhaps overconfident, for just leaving him unguarded in a room with a faulty door. He might've thought a little more into it if he had the time to, or if he could even think clearly after the day he's just had. Luckily for everyone, except for him, he doesn't.

   He reaches the large doors and with a great deal of relief, stumbles outside before unceremoniously scrambling back to his feet to continue running, desperately trying not to scream as he flees. A loud bang sounds behind him and something goes straight through his arm, just above his elbow. 'What the hell?!' He thinks as his arm immediately goes limp. He can’t contain his scream any more but still struggles to continue running, too scared to look behind him. Breathing heavily and his now immobile arm dripping with blood, he hears a few more bangs coming from behind him, followed by whizzes and cracks as small pieces of wood and dirt get kicked up around him. However, they gradually become quieter and more infrequent as he runs further away. Then, he slows to a stop as soon as he disappears behind a hill and some trees. Holding his immobile arm, he feels both lucky to have survived the ordeal and incredibly vengeful. That Masayuki guy be damned… that evil little girl, those monsters, the short elves and those demons are the new targets for his vengeance. "I’ll be back.”, he sharply mutters under his heavy breathing.

   Neumann sighs and then Koenig starts jokingly asking the other three who is scarier between their commander and Demiurge, the one who came up with this plan. Tanya's shot from atop the mansion's balcony hit exactly where she wanted it to. ‘Not bad, if I do say so myself.’ It was a decent shot and the others missed on purpose to maintain the act. “He’ll be a lot easier to track this way.”, she then gives them a quick rundown of their objective. The 203rd begin their first mission in this new, unexplored world.
