He had a knife to Brooks, as Zeke slit his throat. Zeke sprinted to Roxx. She struggled to grab her knife in time, as he ran up and stabbed her in the stomach.

Ezra grabbed Aerie quickly by the arm and it felt like they ran faster than they had ever run before. Both Brooks and Roxx fell dead.

Aerie's heart raced. They ran to the nearest city, running until it felt like their legs were giving out. Ezra led her into a four story parking garage, running up the ramps.
They stopped at the third floor. Ezra crouched down behind the cement half-wall.

He watched Zeke run to another nearby building. Ezra handed a knife to Aerie. "Take this," he said. "Protect yourself."
"I'll be your eyes, but you need a way to protect yourself, too."

She took the knife, with a worried look in her eyes.

He grabbed out his bow from the holder on his back, and loaded an arrow into the string, pulling back on it, and aiming it at the building Zeke was in.

There he was, coming out of the door of the building.

Ezra shot the arrow. He missed.

Zeke looked up at the parking garage that they were in, running towards it. His run was almost inhumanly fast. "Watch behind you..." Ezra hissed quietly.

Zeke appeared at the beginning of the ramp in front of them. Ezra shot another arrow, skimming Zeke's shoulder this time. He grabbed it in pain, but ran full force towards Ezra with a knife. Ezra let loose another arrow, shooting him in the leg this time. He limped a bit, but still came towards them. Ezra loaded another arrow.

Aerie slipped by Ezra, grabbing another knife from his coat and ran towards Zeke. She swiftly tossed the second knife into her left hand, and jumped over Zeke, doing a front flip, using his shoulder as leverage. She grabbed the knife from her hand, and charged towards him with both knives in each hand.

Aerie sliced, one in his other leg, and the other, stabbing him in the back, twisting the knife.

She got out of the way, and Ezra shot the arrow as it pierced Zeke's heart and flew through his chest. The force was so powerful, that he flew backwards, falling to the ground.

Zeke was dead.

"I thought you said you didn't know how to fight." Ezra said.

"I didn't know I could." Aerie replied. "It's like something took over me..."

Jinx flew back onto Aerie's shoulder. Aerie didn't even realize she had been gone. "Hey, Jinx." Aerie said. "Where were you, silly bird?"

The mockingjay tilted her head at Aerie and gave her a certain look that she couldn't place.

She and Ezra walked the lands, day and night. Hunting for food in the in betweens. It felt like nothing was here.

They sat by the campfire, and Aerie pulled out the music box from her dress. Ezra looked astonished. "You have it...?" Ezra asked. "What?" Aerie asked. "The music box... That's what Zeke was after this whole time. He should've known you did... That's why he led you here...to kill you for it." Ezra replied.

"What is it...?" Aerie asked.

"The reason why the world is like this. It shows what happened." Ezra started. "Zeke's family was murdered. He spent years trying to find that, to uncover who killed them."
"And I assume, Brooks and Roxx were in his way. They must've wanted it for their own gain."
"What did they want with it?" Aerie asked.
"Probably sell it. That thing would go for thousands, if not more. There are still a few people who run this town."
"Why would they sell it?" She asked again.
"Because one single person did all of this."  Ezra replied.
"...All of this?" Aerie asked.
"All of this." He said with confidence.
"Then let's go find who did this." Aerie replied.
