In the near future, the world is desolate and cold, no laws or rulers. Society has fallen apart, and nobody secures peace for more than a few days. The countries are not usually referred to by their original names anymore, and all planes of the world are named by how they seem. Guns are fired constantly, and everyone is fighting to survive, however that may be. AllieJay Stevens has lived this way for her whole life, a handgun at her side at any point in time. She never leaves the city ruins of where she was born, and never sees the sun. She is just a normal girl in this world, only she doesn't know what joy should feel like. She cannot comprehend laughter, nor can she feel anything from smiles. She knows not how to feel anything except her birthright; the ability to be sad. She feels nothing particular when she fires her gun, because she feels it already. A girl with regrets who wanders an empty city that houses only violence, and a boy from the beyond mountains who always smiles. This is a Post-apocalyptic story set in a world that has long since been demolished by unknown causes. At least, unknown to anyone still alive that is. Join John on his fight for survival through these wastelands.

A fictional book about the cold war but it takes a quick turn for the worse.
