Note: Did I already say that I hate wattpad editing? No? Well now I say it (again)

Note (from ao3): Just to be clear, for those who don't know, Rosemary and Norman considers each other as siblings! There's nothing romantic between them going on!

Anyway, Enjoy!!

The first night outside was a quiet one. Rosemary stayed beside Norman the whole time, following him wherever he was going to make sure everyone was alright.

Now they were sitting side by side, giving the other some warmth. Norman had an arm wrapped around her shoulders while Rose had her head layed down on his. He was playing with a lock of her hair.

« They cut your hair... »

Rosemary looked up before looking back at her hands.

« Yeah... Mister Smee said they wanted to operate a brain surgery on me. I have a scare now on the side of my head. It still hurts sometimes... »

« Did they do it? »

The girl shook her head.

« They had started, but mister Smee made them stop just before they could do anything. »

Norman slowly nodded, tightening his side hug.

« I'm glad they didn't do anything to you. Oh, and here. Smee gave me this before we separated. He said you would like to have it back. »

Rose looked up to see Norman holding the pink ribbon she always uses for her hair.

« My ribbon! Thank you. »

Norman let out a chuckle as Rose took a sitting position.

« Want me to tie your hair like before? »

« Yes, please. »

The boy grabbed the ribbon as the girl turned her back to him. Once he was done, Rosemary turned around and hugged him. It took him by surprise, but he still hugged her back.

« I missed this... »

« Yeah... I missed it too. »

Rosemary ended up falling asleep against him.

;——;

The hideout was gigantic. Rose had never seen a place this big before. She could see how impressed Norman was as well, even if he tried to hide it.

While everyone was exploring the hideout they all called " Paradise hideout ", Rosemary and Norman went to the top floor. They settled themselves in a different bedroom that would be theirs.

Rose went to clean herself up first. The sensation of the warm water on her skin was comforting.

Silent tears started to roll down her cheeks as the realization hit her.

They were safe. They were out of that prison.

Her silent tears became silent sobs.
