"And I don't even like you that much, wait, I do, fuck."

-Apple Cider, beabadoobee

You woke up to the sound of banging on your door. You sat up and rubbed your eyes, checking your phone you had 5 missed calls from Kali, as well as 15 texts from her. Your jumped up and jogged to your door. When you opened it, a very annoyed Kali was standing on the other side.

"Kali, I am so sorry, I know I said 'SOS', but then I fell asleep. I totally didn't mean to," you said as she pushed by you and made her way into your apartment.

"Yeah I assumed as much, you're practically narcoleptic in stressful situations," Kali spoke as her tossed her shoes to the side and made her way to your couch.

You were nervous to tell her about what was about to go down in the next 24 hours. She's your best friend, there shouldn't be a reason to be nervous. But a woman living with 6 men, society has their own interpretations about that. Maybe you were more nervous that she would stoop that low and call you unsavory names.

"So, I ordered some food and it's on it's way, but why did you send the SOS? Is everything okay?" You joined Kali on the couch and grabbed a pillow, holding it to your chest. You take a deep breath and open your mouth to speak.

"If I tell you, you can't freak out, and please don't look at me any different," You say burying you face into the pillow. You feel Akali reach over and put her hand on your shoulder. You look up and see her smiling face.

"Babe, you can tell me literally anything. It can't be as bad as when I hooked up with a random guy at the bars just to get over Talon," Kali said cringing visibly from the memory.

You laugh, "That was a night that we both want to forget, remember when that drunk shirtless guy puked all over my shoes?"

You both laugh, reminiscing over all of the mess you two have been through together. You took a breath to regulate your breathing, the smile fades from your face and you turn to her.

"The reason I called you over, is because well, I am going to help Heartsteel finish their album, and I may or may not have paid attention during the contract signing and didn't realize I was going to have to live with all of them," You saw her facial expressions and looked down at your hands, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you about working with them sooner, but I didn't know how secretive I had to keep it," You were cut off by her squeals of excitement.

"No way! Working with THE Heartsteel AND getting to live with them? Dude, that's like a dream come true, holy shit. Wait, what about your apartment?"

You looked up at her, "That was another thing, I know your apartment isn't the best, so I thought you could stay in mine for awhile? Just while I finish my contract and then I'll be back. I can pay for your rent so you aren't footing the rent while you're here," you could practically see the sparkle in her eyes as you asked this.

"Of course! Oh my god, I'd love to. It's like I practically live here anyways, I have a lot of stuff here and we wear the same sizes, so I can just share clothes," Kali said jumping up in front of the couch, "Do we need to start your packing?"

You sigh, "No, I guess they said to only bring like, important things. I guess they already have a room prepped for me as well as clothes and wear," you said setting the pillow aside. You stand up and start to head up the stairs to your bedroom. Akali follows behind you eagerly. You didn't realize how eager and excited for you. You felt sad and lonely, even if Akali was literally 3 feet away from you. Leaving your comfort place, all of your belongings except for a few, and of course, being even farther from your platonic soulmate.

Akali must have sensed your mood drop. She walked over to your bed and motioned for you to come sit next to her. You accepted her offer and sat down, resting your head onto her shoulder.

"Let's not be too sad about it. I'm sure once the dust settles, I can probably come and visit you once they okay it," she said hugging your shoulders. You looked up and smiled at her. She really was your rock, best friend, and soulmate all rolled into one amazing person.

"Thank you, Kali," you say smiling. She returns the smile and jumps up.

"Okay well, most men don't know anything about skin care or good shampoos, so let's start in the bathroom."

You laugh and join her. You two spent most of the night packing, eating, and singing old songs from shows and movies you two used to watch in your youthful days. You ended up finishing packing by 1 am. You had 4 suitcases filled with some clothes, toiletries, some of your most important belongings, especially the bear you've had since you were a baby, all of the fondest memories are held within the stuffing.

You two got into your bed and drifted off to sleep, burnt out from all of the events from the day, you both were out like a light.

A loud alarm blared, shoving you out of sleep. You groaned and turned to your side table and snoozed the alarm. It was 10, you had to be out of your apartment and to their house at 12. Fuck, you thought. You sprang up out of bed, shaking Akali awake.

"Akali, we only have a little bit of time before I have to be at Heartsteel's house," you said as you shook your bear of a friend awake. Akali mumbled something and tried to swing at you. You jumped back and she turned away from you covering her head with your pillow. You sighed as you made your way to the bathroom. You did your morning routine, wash your face, moisturizer, teeth brushed, brush your hair, you know the drill. You didn't want to do a full face of makeup so you settled on a nice clean look. You walked over to your closet and threw on a cute sundress, grabbed some socks and walked back over to Akali. You started whacking her with your socks.

"Bitch, get up. You have to get up now or you won't have time to look good for Kayn." You seemed to get her attention, as she sprang up in bed and stared at you. Her face had dried drool on the corner of her mouth, her hair looked like she stuck it in a wind turbine, oh boy, she was a mess.

"Kayn? Oh shit, I forgot, we're dropping you off at their house. Can I please borrow some stuff and clothes to get ready in?" She was begging you. You just laughed and shook your head yes.

After Akali getting ready, and you two loading up your belongings into Akali's car, you headed off to Heartsteel's mansion. You were a mess. Your stomach was in your throat, your hands were shaky, and you felt like you were already sweating off your deodorant. This was a huge change, and you weren't sure how you'd handle it all. After 30 minutes of driving, you two made it to the gates of a house with a ginormous driveway. Akali told the guy over the speaker who you were and why you were here. You were buzzed through and Akali carefully made her way up their driveway. There were multiple cars, lots of gardner's mowing and taking care of flowers and bushes.

"Damn bro. They really ARE that rich, huh?" Akali spoke admiring all of the cars and the mansion that was right in front of you two. She put the car in park and turned it off. She unbuckled her seatbelt and noticed you haven't moved. You don't want to get out of the car, you're not ready.

You felt Akali squeeze your knee. You looked up, ready to burst into tears. She smiles.

"You are gonna kill this shit. Believe in yourself, the way I believe in you," She said, with reassurance and determination in her voice. You smile and take a deep breath.

"You're right, let's go," You unbuckle your seatbelt and open your door. You and Akali close your doors and make your way to her trunk. You hear the door open behind you two. Out comes K'sante and Yone.

"Hello, Y/N! Please, allow us to help you take in your bags, we don't want you to have to carry these," K'sante said as he grabbed two of your suitcases, while Yone grabbed the other two, nodding at you. You thanked them and smiled, as you look at the door frame, you saw a smaller boy with green hair smiling at you. But once you locked eyes, you saw his face turn a little red, and he walked away from the door. You felt your own face heating up. Oh no, you thought, this can't be the feeling I think it is.
