Your heels clacked on the concrete as you made your way to the small cafe you always enjoyed going to with Kali. Your mind has been racing all day, because it was finally time for your date with Ezreal. The guys were nice enough to allow you to take a day off to go out to see your girl. Akali wanted to take you out to buy a nice outfit to impress Ezreal in, and also talk about things you two have been too busy to discuss. You turn the corner and see Akali leaning against the side of the building, phone in one hand and a cigarette in the other.

"Kali!" you yell as you wave your hand to her.

She looks up and shines a toothy smile. You watch her step on her cigarette and slide her phone into her pocket.

"My babe! My precious Y/N!" she yells out to you. She runs towards you with her arms wide open. You gladly meet her in the middle and you two hug it out. This felt like home to you, she was your rock and safe space, being away from her was scary, but you were finally glad to be with her again.

"How are things going? You need to tell me everything!" she said holding the door to the cafe open for you. You laugh at her speed talking like a kid who just had loads of sugar.

"I will, I will, but then you also need to spill what's been going on at your work too," You said walking towards the counter. You two order your regulars, which was a vanilla latte for Kali, but she was so excited to see you today that she couldn't sleep, so the crazy bitch added 4 espresso shots to it. You ordered a matcha latte, and of course it wouldn't be complete without each of you buying a blueberry croissant. You take your seat at a table near the window with your drinks and goodies.

"So, who's gonna start first?" Kali said blowing on her drink before sipping.

You smile at her, "Why don't you go first," you say taking a bite out of your baked good. Kali got the biggest grin on her face.

"Bro, you have NO idea what happened at work!"

You leaned in as a joke to hear her better as she rambled on about crazy things happening at her work. Two of her coworkers were having an affair and both of their partners figured it out.

"So, their partners ended it right then and there, and now THEY'RE dating! How insane is that," Kali said as she bit into her croissant.

Time flew as you two talked and talked. You wished time could just slow down for a second, you finally felt normal. Being in a new place with so many people was insane to you, you felt like everything was too crazy for you sometimes, but quality time with Kali made you feel normal and sane.

Akali checked her watch and frowned a little. "We should probably head to some stores, it's already noon." You both got up to throw away your trash and clean off the table. You headed out the door and walked towards some stores. It wasn't a very hot day, but it was really sunny out with a nice breeze, those were always your favorite types of days, it felt like a good omen.

"So, you're already going after one of them, huh?" Kali said teasing you. You frowned at her.

"I didn't mean for it to happen, it was just a natural spark, y'know?" You said looking at the floor kicking some rocks. Akali sighed and patted your head.

"Girl, you know I'm just kidding, I'm really happy for you. Now, is there anyway you could put in a good word about me for Kayn?" She said wiggling her eyebrows. You just laughed at her and pushed her a little.
