(This is going to very long chapter)

(Saturday late afternoon)

In the late afternoon of Saturday, Bella and Anastasia rush inside the diner, with their Father waiting for them. Bella tried to keep the joy on her face in check...with minimal success. She was basically skipping down the sidewalk. Meeting Edward's family was a success.

They entered the diner completely ignoring the rowdy boys in the parking lot.

Outside the door of the diner, Mike was hanging out with several of his basketball teammates in the parking lot. "Yo, Arizona. So. You and Cullen!" Mike called out to Bella, only for her to shrug at him, before getting inside.

"Since Arizona is going out with Cullen, why don't you go out with my buddy for the dance?" Mike called out slapping the shoulder of a wide football player next to him. Anastasia just rolled her eyes at them.

They hurried to Charlie's table and slid in on the bench opposite side of Charlie. "Hope we aren't late," Bella said panting.

"Captain was feeling needing today," Anastasia told him with a slightly, apologetic look.

Charlie looked at her in worried, "Is he alright? I could take him with me?" he asked her.

Anastasia gave him a plaiding look, "If you could, that would be wonderful." she told him.

Cora sets a sirloin steak in front of Dad, a plate of pasta for Anastasia, and seafood in front of Bella. "I ordered you the seafood combo, Bells," Dad told Bella gruffly, starting to dig into his steak. "And a crab pasta for you, Anastasia."

Bella looked at her dad in worry. "You should order one for yourself next time," she told him. "You should cut back on the steak." before taking a healthy bit of shrimp.

"I'm healthy as a horse," Dad told her a bit huffy.

"I hate to agree with Bella." Anastasia joked, and Bella just rolled her eyes and pushed her with her shoulder playfully. "But I think you should really cut back on the red meat for your help." she explained worried about him.

Charlie sighs heavily, and for his fork and knife down looking closely at his worried daughters. A warmth spread in the chest, and he gave them a small smile, "If it makes you feel better, I would only order red meat once a month." he told them.

The Swan girls brightened up and started eating. When Cora walks over to their booth and touches the back of the booth looking at Charlie worriedly. "Say Chief, boys want to know, you find anything down by Queets River today?"

Charlie could feel the eyes of the loggers listening in to his answer. Knowing he couldn't let anything slip, he chose his words wisely. "We still have no idea if it was an animal attack or not." he paused slightly, "But the Kitsap County Sheriff is taking over from here since it's moving east," he told them, sweating slightly from all the stares.

Cora nodded worredly, "Hope they catch whatever it is fast enough." she told him, knowing Charlie was not very comfortable with all eyes on him, along with his daughters.

They spent the rest of their dinner in nice comfortable silents, passing each other the salt or butter. It became a lot more of an easy rhythm after their first time eating out.

Just then Charlie turned to look out the window and spotted a group of boys horsing around outside. "Your friends are flagging you guys." Charlie called out to his daughters.

They turn to see Mike and the guys horsing around outside, straws in their noses, making faces at her. Anastasia wrinkled her nose in disgust, "Not my friends." she stated.
