New Orleans, November 2, 1910.
To say Bey was heartbroken was an understatement. It wasn't like she never experienced heartbreak before but this one was different. It was by two people she cared for. Louis cheated, and gambled her and Lestat Lied to her. For days she moped. But today was different. Today was Grace's day. The wedding.
She stared at her bridesmaids dress for 10 minutes. Her mind raced. But she eventually put it on. She had a responsibility to show up for her friend, regardless if her brother was a jackass.
"Beyoncé, you ready? We gotta get there before everyone else." Her mother came in to ask.
"Wow, you look so beautiful!" Her mother gushed.
Bey smiled and looked down.
"Are you gonna be alright today?" Her mother asked.
When Bey got home at night she was met with angry parents and worried siblings. She has been missing for 6 hours and her parents assumed she was with Louis. She lied and told her father that she got lost on her way home after a crazy night with her girls but from the look of her dress, her hair, and the dried tears on her face, her mother knew that was only half of the story. She told her mother and siblings really what happened, and everyone felt different. The twins upset because they had to go back to hating Louis, though they wanted to see the circus, Solange angry for her sister along with her mother, and Luka just disappointed. He looked up to Louis and couldn't imagine why he would hurt his sister.

Arriving early as promised, Bey did everything to avoid her now, ex boyfriend. She stayed with Grace while she got ready most of the time before the reception began.
Louis on the other hand, was scouting. When he seen Mama Diane at the alter speaking to the preacher he walker up to greet her and ask where her eldest daughter was but was shot down.
"You have some nerve askin' about her after what you did Louis. We looked at you as a son, welcomed you and-" she started.
"Mama Diane, I know, I messed up. Big time. I love your daughter, and I wanna make things right. I'll admit I was being selfish, but I didn't see it. My self awareness was simply not present, I thought I was helping, and I know I made things worse but believe me, my intentions were pure, I just. I was jealous. Seeing her work for a man who made me feel less. The business I'm in makes men like me egotistic in more ways than one, I felt like she'd be better off working with me-" he was cut off.
