Alex's pov:Shit. Shitshitshitshit.
I'm late. Again. It's 4 weeks into the school year, and I'm already f*cking late for the 10th time.
I slam my hand against the blaring alarm clock. I jumped out of bed and clambering over to my wardrobe.
I dig through it, trying to find my school shirt.
I know what's going to happen.
The headmaster called me in a few days ago, saying in his boring monotone voice, "Mr Turner, if I find out you are absent for one more time, there will be severe punishment." And blah blah, your attendance matters bullshit.
I sling my uniform, honestly not caring if my tie was wonky or if my shirt was half unbuttoned. Thankfully, my mum had already left for work, meaning I could safely leave the house without getting scolded for waking up at 8:30.
I plug my headphones into my iPod and start blasting a David Bowie song.
Around 15 minutes later.
I've honestly given up rushing to school now. I'm tired, it's raining and it's a Monday. Shit, shit, shit in short words. I finally get to the dooming school gates, barely slipping in before the groundsmen shut it up.
I barely slipped past the headteachers office without getting called upon, though I did get a few dirty looks from some of the teachers.
I sheepishly knock on the chipped door of my tutor. Embarrassment floods my face as the entire class turns to face my direction.
The teacher opens the door with a disappointed face and whispers some warning words to me about how I'm "better" than this. I rolled my eyes after they'd finished and plopped myself down next to where my mates were sitting. I cut them off before they can make fun of me.
"Not a fucking word. I'm passed off enough as it is." I say, glaring at Matt, who was trying not to piss himself with laughter.
"I-.."He can't even finish his sentence before he's hurled over laughing at my dishevelled form and moody face.
I feel a hand pat my shoulder, and Jamie is also amused by my reaction.
"C'mon mate. Just ignore hi-..sorry Al! I can't help it!"Jamie says as he breaks off his sentence because of his laughing.
There's a sudden hush throughout the classroom..Well sort of. Matt is still laughing hysterically and oblivious, too, the fact that the headteacher has walked through the door. With the most popular, trouble boy in the entire school.
I punch the side of Matt's arm to grab his attention. He turns around and begins to whine at me before he notices the headmaster and immediately shuts up. Not meeting his eye line.
"I'm just dropping this one off for you, Mrs." The headteacher says whilst glaring at Matt. Everyone in the class exchanged little hushed whispers as they realised it was him. Miles Kane.
He has just come back from suspension for beating a kid up. And he looked fucking pissed. No one made eye contact with him as he left Mr Bennet (the headteachers) side.
He slumped down in a chair next to his mates. After Mr Bennet had left, our tutor continued with what she was doing as the rest of the class just mingled for the rest of the class.
After a while, I'd completely zoned out of the conversation Jamie, Matt, Nick, and Andy were on about.
Though, I hadn't noticed that I was subconsciously staring at Miles Kane.
Once I had noticed, he glared over at me. I blushed in embarrassment and looked away, losing myself in my friends pointless arguments.
