"This is it!" Pauline exclaimed. "It all fits and matches. "Isn't this perfect?"

She was instantly dismayed when she noticed the man's gaze on her bust. "Do whatever, you're the Mayor," he said casually.

The woman groaned, collected her documents, and left the office.
The day had been exhausting, and she didn't need another one of those hormonal loafers to keep her occupied.

She worked alone until midday, when her favorite assistant, John, knocked on the door.

"Come in," the mayor said.

When John walked into the room, he appeared tight, and possibly pale. "Good morning, my regarded Miss. I apologize for the unexpected inconvenience, but I must inform you that there has been an eleventh-hour alteration of the itinerary, much to my dismay."

"Just because you say it like that it won't make me less mad." She massaged her temples in circles. "What is it, John?"

He took in a long breath. "Regrettably, I must inform you that our most esteemed tour guide has been involved in a serious accident and is currently under medical care in the hospital."

"Great, just what I needed." Pauline groaned. "Find me a new guide."

"My miss, I tried. However, you are well aware that our top employees are on vacation at this time of year. All that remains are the group guides," John responded, peering out the window as if he deserved to jump through it.

"I can't give that to the princess." Pauline examined all of her documents. "Can't you give her the tour?"

"Oh... My." John jumped into place. "I am truly sorry, miss, but this is my third month working in this lovely city, I get myself lost all the time, I can't give a tour." Then he knew what Pauline was actually thinking about. "But I have been working for all sorts of varieties of city halls within the last twenty years of my life, I think I can manage a couple of incomplete documents."

"I don't get it," she remarked.

John sat next to her. "Let me handle this. Tonight, you have a concert that I am confident will be as majestic as all the previous ones. Bring the princess along after finishing the tour, I'm certain it'll be her favorite stop."

Pauline hesitated. "I'm not so sure... I specially have the show tonight in order to finish all my other duties."

"We receive outstanding outcomes every month from our exportation deal with the Mushroom Kingdom. We may be seeing the end of our city if the princess is unhappy with it. Therefore, it is your responsibility to take care of her demands." He concluded his assertion with a smile.

"Oh, John." Pauline offered him a hug. "What would I do without you?" She planted the largest and reddest lipstick mark on one of his cheeks with a kiss. "I want this finished and brought into the office before 5:00."

John couldn't complain as Pauline went away. The kiss she gave him had no romantic connotations, she knows everyone there wants one, and she uses them go her favor.

Peach arrived half an hour later, making it the ideal chance to have lunch. Pauline was led to the main door by one of her security personnel.

"If she's bratty, do not leave me alone," she stated, to which her employee shrugged.

He opened the door to the exteriors to discover a stunning woman waiting for them, her back averted as she continued to admire her surroundings.

She turned to face them as she heard the door creak. The mayor's features abruptly softened.

The princess was gorgeous, to say the least. With soft, ocean blue eyes that could calm even the most agitated person in an instant, and lips that curved into the most innocent of smiles when she spotted Pauline's silhouette behind that big guy before her.

Pauline walked to the front after the guard moved to the side to let her through. Her stance remained unbroken, with her hands resting on her straight back.

"Oh! Mayor Pauline." The Princess was ready to curtsy when she noticed the woman kneeling before her.

Pauline observed she was dressed in summer gear, an elegant white sunhat with pink decorations that suited her light outfit. But the most important thing she realized was that the princess had no gloves to protect her hands, allowing her to accomplish the following.

"My princess." Pauline grasped one of her palms and massaged her fingers with her own thumbs.

"It is a pleasure to finally meet you," the blonde replied, surprised by the Mayor's actions.

The mayor brought her knuckles to her own soft lips. "The pleasure is all mine, princess."

Her accessories wonderfully matched the pink upon her face. "Please, call me Peach."

The Mayor chuckled when she realized she had stained with lipstick Peach's palm. "Sorry about that, my Peach."

"It's just Peach. Really, I insist." She looked down at her fingers and cleaned them with the tissue she had in hand. "And do not worry about it."

"Let's get going, then," Pauline replied, tying her arm around the Princess's. "What are you in the mood for? We have the most outstanding restaurants you could possibly dream of. My treat, of course."

"Oh," Peach rerouted her sight with a small smirk. "What do you recommend me?"

"Let's see, sushi has been extremely popular recently. We also have Mediterranean seafood. Perhaps you are in the mood for a stake? I'm not judging." When the mayor noticed Peach's eyes were fixed somewhere else, she came to a stop.

"Paella is also popular," Pauline added, even if it had nothing to do with what they were both gazing at.

It was a family pizzeria that had been around for a long time, it was already open before Pauline was even born.

She admired how Peach's eyes shone at the sight. Surely, by being a princess, she was accustomed to the most gourmet and elegant of meals to.

The blonde turned to her and asked with her eyes.

"Pizza sounds lovely, actually." The bruntte agreed. "Only if you're in the mood for it, of course."

"Yes!" She did not think about it twice.

"Pizza it is then." She unfastened her arm and placed her hand in Peach's, interlocking her fingers before getting inside the establishment.
