It had been almost two weeks since Ronald and Geo last spoke. People were asking about the scars Ronald had given him on his thighs but he only told them they were from a "crazy hookup". This was the longest he had been alone. Geo took Genesis's words to heart and thought about himself as a person. He thought about how people perceived him. To them, he was just a rich party boy with no sense of direction in life. People were sure after college, he would either play in the NBA or still be living off of his parents. But when Geo thought of himself, he described himself as a boy who had no clue who he was, where he wanted to be, and what his purpose was. Sure, he could just be like his parents and be a travel agent and be rich like them but that's not what he wanted to do. In all honesty, he had no clue what he wanted to do. There was basketball but what else? What defined him as the person he was? And who would be the person to guide him? So many questions, yet no answers.
"You going to that party on Saturday?" Geo asked Genesis as they walked to class. Genesis nodded.
"I was planning on asking Indigo if he wanted to come, too," Genesis said. Geo's eyebrows lifted with interest.
"Ooh, Indigo?" Geo teased. Indigo was Genesis's new friend. He had transferred a month before and he and Genesis became friends quickly. Geo could tell Genesis had a small crush on him but he knew Genesis didn't want to admit it.
Genesis blushed as he rolled his eyes. "You don't have to say it like that. We're just friends." Genesis shyly said. Geo looked over his shoulder.
"Lucky for you, he's right there." Geo pointed behind him. Genesis quickly turned around.
"Where?" He questioned. Behind him, Genesis could hear Geo snickering. Genesis frowned. Of course, Geo had tricked him into thinking Indigo was right behind him. Genesis turned around to face Geo.
"Fuck you." He mouthed, knowing a few teachers were around. Geo petted his shoulder, still laughing at him.
"It's okay, G. It was a little jokey joke."
"Not when it's Indigo. You know I don't like him like that."
Geo stared at him with a straight face. When they reached their classrooms, which were right next to each other, Genesis shrugged.
"What?" He asked.
"Be for real." Geo laughed. Genesis rolled his eyes again. He crossed his arms.
"I don't know why you're so obsessed with the idea of Indigo and I being together. We are just friends," Genesis frowned. As Genesis rambled about how Indigo and him not being together, Geo looked behind him. "Speak of the devil," he thought with a smirk.
"And I am not even—" hands placed around Genesis's waist caught him by surprise, instantly making him stop talking.
"Gen, you're standing in my way." A voice cooed in his ear. Genesis turned his head and came face to face with Indigo. His eyes flickered to Indigo's lips before making eye contact with the man holding him. Geo and Indigo could see how red his face was. Genesis gulped, then turned to Geo.
"I'll see you later." He mumbled. He pushed Indigo off of him and walked into the classroom. Indigo chuckled as he watched Genesis leave.
"Hate to see him go but I love to watch him leave." Indigo grinned. Geo snorted, making a "pfft" noise.
"Foul." He laughed. He dapped Indigo up and they said their goodbyes. As Geo entered his class, he swore he saw Ronald in the corner of his eye.
