Michelle
Some time had passed into Nadia's party, and by now Michelle was half tipsy. Feet a bit numb as she stumbled to the back of the house where she could sit down. The darker it got, the more mosquitos seemed to come out. And because of that, a few guys had gotten a fire started in the back to wee them away.
There were only a handful of people sitting at the back. One couple sitting in the corner, the girl sitting sideways on her boyfriend's lap as he attacked her neck far more viciously than a mosquito ever could. Michelle rolled her eyes.
"Must be fucking nice." She mumbled, finding a seat and plopping her ass down into it with a sigh.
She pulled her cellphone out from her purse and opened it. She hadn't checked her socials in awhile. She did post pictures prior to arriving at the party, and had been getting likes in bulks since then.
It was so funny how so many people on social media found her beautiful, and here Michelle was having insecurities about herself. Perhaps they didn't see them. Or maybe they couldn't see them, because of the image she set for herself on line. Either way, Michelle didn't think she was ugly. But there was always room for improvement within everything. And she thought that about herself often.
As she sat back and scrolled, she got a message from Daren. Michelle sighed and clicked on it the minute it appeared on her screen. She didn't know why. It was an impulse at this point.
Daren: u still at the party?
Mhm.
Daren: u trying to spend the night with me or what?
Michelle thought about it.
She did not want to spend the night with him. But it wouldn't be all that bad. She was tipsy, and admittedly a bit horny. His company would be beneficial in some way. But she felt guilty, using him for his body.
"He don't give a fuck when it's me so why should I?" She whispered to herself, her fingers working on the keyboard.
Sure. Did you leave?
Daren: I did bby. I'll be back in 30 so be ready.
Michelle didn't bother to type a response.
"You left me up there."
The sound of a voice that was quickly becoming familiar played into Michelle's ears. She turned in that direction, smiling once she seen Jimin. He was funny, and made for good company. Despite being an asshole who always kept a smart remark up his sleeve. It was a good thing Michelle could be equally as petty. If not, more.
"You left first." Michelle shrugged.
Jimin shook his head and walked around until he was against the wall beside her chair. He tucked his hands into his pockets as he stared ahead.
"That's my fault. I seen a friend of mine who I hadn't seen in months. Needed to speak."
Michelle made an 'o' shape with her lips, nodding in understanding. For some reason, he didn't seem as energetic as he seemed earlier. She was nosy.
