Miguel heard a knock on the front door. He rushed to open it, it was Artem and Gracie. He gave them both hugs.
"Wheres Aubrey?" Gracie asked.
Miguel looked behind him then back at Gracie. "Doing somethin' in her room," He shrugged.
Artem and Gracie could hear silent sobs coming from the upstairs.
"Is she...okay..?" Gracie enters the house.
"Our fathers visitng tomorrow," Miguel put his hands on his hips.
"What's with Aubrey and her father..?" Gracie turned to Artem, then Miguel.
"She's always had a weird relationship with him, I've been one of her best friends since kindergarden...and when her mom passed it started. She started..." Artem paused. "being a lot more distant, I suppose."
"I think someone should go check on her..." Gracie crossed her arms and put her bags down.
"I think she'd be very happy to see you, Gracie," Artem smiled and Gracie, Miguel glared at him.
"Wheres her room, Miguel?" Gracie's face flushed.
"Upstairs, first door to your left." Miguel nodded.
Gracie walked to the stairs and went up to Aubrey's room, she lightly knocked on Aubrey's door.
"Come in, Miguel." Aubrey's voice was shaky.
Gracie opened Aubrey's door. "I guess if you add a few letters to Miguel's name then rearrange the letters, it makes Gracie."
Aubrey got her head out of her blanket. "Gracie!" A huge smile quickly grew on Aubrey's face, she got up to give Gracie a big hug.
"I heard you crying, so I just wanted to check on you. I just arrived." Gracie pulled away from the hug, but left her hands on Aubrey's waist.
Aubrey quickly whiped the tears off her face. "Oh, no, no. I just watched Season 8 Episode 24 of Greys Anatomy." Aubrey's hands reached up to Gracie's shoulders. "It makes me really emotional." Aubrey pouted.
"Then I understand where you're coming from." Gracie laughed.
Gracie took a seat on Aubrey's bed. Aubrey shut the door and took a seat next to Gracie.
