Hello Lovelies How are you guys doing! So I was caught up for two days and finally got some time to update! Hope you enjoy the chapter ❤
🍀 --------------- 🍀The next morning, Adhiraj woke up early. He stretched, feeling the stiffness in his muscles from sleeping on the floor. Quietly, he gathered his gym clothes and slipped out of the room, careful not to wake Dhruvi. He needed to clear his mind and prepare himself for the challenges of the day, and a good workout was the best way to do that.
Meanwhile, Dhruvi lay in bed, her sleep restless and filled with fragmented dreams. As the morning light filtered through the curtains, she slowly woke up, feeling a mix of apprehension and determination. Today would be her first full day in the Malhotra household as Adhiraj's wife, and she was determined to face it head-on.
After freshening up, she dressed in one of the comfortable outfits from the closet and made her way downstairs. As she reached the bottom of the grand staircase, she could hear the faint sounds of conversation coming from the dining room. Taking a deep breath, she stepped into the room.
The dining table was surrounded by Adhiraj's family. Adhveer, Adhiraj's younger brother, was animatedly discussing something with Vaani, their cousin sister. Both of them looked up as Dhruvi entered, offering her warm smiles.
"Good morning, Bhabhi," Adhveer greeted, his tone friendly. "How did you sleep? Don't tell me bhaiya snored all night.""
"Good morning" Dhruvi replied, trying to muster a smile. " It was... fine"
Adhira, Adhiraj's mother, looked up from her cup of tea, her expression gentle. "Dhruvi, bache, come sit with us. Have some breakfast."
Rajveer, Adhiraj's father, gave her a nod of acknowledgment. "Good morning, Betu. Welcome to the family."
Before she could respond, Shalini, Adhiraj's grandmother, cut in with a sharp tone. "Let's not get too comfortable, shall we? This marriage was not exactly what we had planned"
Dhruvi's heart sank at the coldness in Shalini's voice, but she took a seat at the table, determined not to let it affect her. Adhiraj's chacha, Randhir, and chachi, Reeva, were also seated, their expressions neutral.
Reeva, trying to ease the tension, offered her a plate of parathas. "Dhruvi, have some breakfast. You must be hungry."
"Thank you chachi," Dhruvi said quietly, taking the plate. She glanced around the table, feeling the weight of everyone's eyes on her.
Vaani leaned in closer, her voice a whisper. "Don't mind Dadi bhabhi. She has problem with every breathing human."
Dhruvi nodded, appreciating the support. As she took a bite of her paratha, the dining room door opened, and Adhiraj entered, fresh from his workout. He was dressed in his gym clothes, a light sheen of sweat on his forehead.
