A/N: enjoy :)

---------------------

Jungkook rested his head against the car window, his gaze fixed on the horizon as the sun slowly rose. Fields blurred past, and in the distance, the towering skyscrapers of Seoul began to come into view. As the sun climbed higher, the roads grew busier, and soon they were caught in stop-and-go traffic.

The radio was playing some catchy songs he didn't recognize and Taehyung hummed along, drumming his slender fingers from time to time on the steering wheel to match the beat.

The closer they came to the city, the more nervous Jungkook felt, like he was taking an important test. Was it alright to seek help like that? Couldn't he cope over time alone?

He hadn't slept much the previous night, too hesitant to ask Taehyung again if he could sleep beside him. Despite the comfortable mattress, his mind refused to quiet down. Thoughts swirled relentlessly, creating a chaotic jumble of memories and situations he had already lived through, leaving him restless and agitated.

Exhausted, he finally drifted off in the early hours of the morning.

Jungkook closed his eyes and felt himself relax.

"You didn't sleep much, did you?" Taehyung asked suddenly.

Jungkook sat up and sighed, adjusting the seatbelt to make it more comfortable. "I didn't," he admitted quietly. "Too many thoughts."

"Mmmh," Taehyung hummed thoughtfully. "If you don't scare me again, you can come over if it gets worse," he offered casually. Jungkook's stomach erupted with pleasant warmth. But the feeling instantly frightened him. He couldn't bother Taehyung with his problems all the time, and he was a grown ass man, for fucks sake.

"Ha," Jungkook snorted, like it was a no brainer to deny the offer. "You are clingy," he said playfully and shook his head.

"Told you."

"You were lying on my chest," Jungkook says dryly.

"Jepp, I did," Taehyung answered without an ounce of shame. "I warned you."

"You are too warm," Jungkook complained.

Taehyung snuck a glance at him, grinning broadly. "Like you aren't. You're a furnace."

"Well, I usually sleep shirtless," Jungkook replied matter-of-factly.

"Huh...," Taehyung mumbled, his gaze shifting to the slow-moving traffic outside the window.

Jungkook felt a small jolt in his chest. He realized he had complained only for show. In truth, he had enjoyed it, waking up slowly, feeling Taehyung's closeness. He had liked the warmth of his body heat and the faint, underlying scent that was unmistakably Taehyung.

"Yeah, well..." Taehyung rambled on, seemingly unaware of Jungkook's inner thoughts. "...that's how it is with me. Take me or leave me."

"I'll think about it," Jungkook replied with mock grace, grabbing his tumbler to take a sip of coffee. In truth, he wanted to shout, "I'll take you!" But he couldn't. What would Taehyung think of him if he said that?

"That's enthusiasm," Taehyung quipped with a grin. "You're hurting my pride."

"Sorry, just being honest," Jungkook said with a small smirk, masking the whirlwind of emotions stirring inside him.

Lies.. just so many lies.

"Can you give me a sip of your coffee?" Taehyung asked, and held one hand out.

Jungkook leaned forward, rummaging in his bag and presented a second tumbler. "Get your own."

Taehyung looked at him, irritation and shock flashing across his face in rapid succession. "You are just now telling me that you made me coffee, when we are almost there?"
