Ethan's pov
The next morning, I work up with a smile on my face like an idiot. Why, because of our kiss yesterday and the way she ran away with her face turning red was magical.
I decided to take a shower and make breakfast for today, I went down stairs to find her in the kitchen with headphones on.
I snuck behind her and hugged her from behind. At first I felt her stiffen but she relaxed after know it's me. I kissed her head and I heard her giggle
"Good morning prin-" and before I could finish my sentence I was what I would say rudely interrupted
"Ethan my son" I heard my mom call from the sitting room. When she said she is we coming, she didn't say this early. Hope quickly moved out of my hands, creating space between us which I didn't like at all. I grabbed her hand and went to welcome her
"Mom, how was your trip?" I said with a smile
" Great but who is she?" She asked as I had thought
"This is my assistant,Hope, and this is my mom, brother , Allan and sister, Evelyn" I introduced
"It's a pleasure to meet you all" she said
"Of course it is for someone like you" Evelyn replied like the brat she is
"Don't mind her, she tends to be a bit moody at time" Allan side like the talkative guy he is
"Yes dear, don't mind her" my mom sad
"It's okay ma'am, I was making breakfast, I'll go and finish it up"Hope said and left
"Where's dad?" I ask
"Your father remain in NY dealing with some work of his" she chuckled
"Let's go inside and have breakfast, I'm sure you must be hungry" I tell them and we enter

Hope's pov
This is not how I expected my first interaction with his family to be but it wasn't that bad. I finish making breakfast and Ethan helps me take it to the dinning room.
"I hope this isn't poisoned" I heard Evelyn say but I ignored it just like the rest of her family
During breakfast I received a call from Faith and I was about to stand up to go and answer it
"Going to talk to your pathetic boyfriend or planning on how to steal from us?" Evelyn says with a smirk which is starting to annoy me
"Evelyn behave yourself " Mrs James says
But I decided to seat back down and answer the call and put it on speaker
F- hey beautiful
H- hey love
F- you can't even remember that you have a best friend, can't you?
H- I can but I like it when you call me first and I know you have something to tell me
F- how did you know?
H- I have known you for many years now
F- fine, whatever, any way I saw Diane yesterday
Excitement feels me as I hear the name of the third member of our best friends squad.
Her family was one of the richest family and we met in high school and became a squad. She joined the CIA with us but mostly goes on cross boarder missions. Two years ago her father died and all the wealth was taken away from them and the loan sharks started threatening them and that's why she did those jobs
H- she's back?
F- yes and she's here to stay
H- really, I can't wait to get back he and see her
F- take all the time you need love
H- why do I feel like there is something you are not telling me
F- well I might have burnt your kitchen
H- wait how?
F- well you see your brother, my boyfriend, caught the criminal he was investigating and I wanted to bake him a cake but I burt your kitchen
H- that's it?
F- yes
H- are you hurt?
F- well no
H- okay then but is there more or anything else I should know
F- well Yes, it's about Elias, he told everyone about you and your brother Andrew
H- wait what, what did he say about us
F- he might have said how you and Andrew are his children
H- tell me you are joking
F- I'm not and you know he is your biological father
H- but why tell people about it, didn't we make an agreement
F- well yes but I guess he was under pressure, I mean he is 50 but unmarried , people start talking you know
H- fine I'll talk to you later
F- okay bye
H- bye
I cut the call and everyone was quite which I was thankful for.
Well, there goes my peaceful life.
I need to talk to Andrew. I quickly call him am d put it on speaker
A- I'm guessing she told you
H- she did
A- princess, I know you wanted us to continue a peaceful life with the memory of our dead parents but he is also our father who was there for us when our adoptive father died, he supported us so I don't think acknowledging him is a bad idea
H- I know it's Just that I wasn't expecting this all of a sudden you know
A- I know and when you come back we will get through this together, now I have work to do so we will talk later
F- bye Andrew
A- bye princess
And with that the call was cut, now this definitely was not how I expected my first interaction with his family to be like but it is what it is
