The message read, "Meet me in the football field before physics class tomorrow, alone. Or else you'll regret it."

Antonio was terrified. He didn't know what Tristyn could possibly do to him, but he had no choice but to go and see what he wanted.

In the evening, Sebastian had announced that he was going to the club. "I'm heading over to the club. I'll be back whenever I can," he said before leaving. Antonio's mom shook her head. Sebastian would always leave the house at random times and often returned home drunk. He'd get extremely violent and start yelling at everyone. It was a recurring nightmare for them.

Antonio didn't have much time to think about it, though. He went to sleep early, preparing himself for whatever the next day would unfold. In the middle of the night, he heard sounds of things breaking and yelling. He immediately got up and ran downstairs.

His mother was cowering in a corner, tears streaming down her face. "Sebastian! Stop it!" she cried. Sebastian was standing over a shattered vase, his fists clenched and breathing heavily. He looked at Antonio with hate-filled eyes.

"Both of you, both of you. You ruined my life. You ruined dad's life. You ruined my relationship with my dad!" Antonio's mom's heart sank as she realized her stepson had gone off the deep end. She didn't know what had happened to make Sebastian so angry, but she knew she had to try to calm him down. She slowly walked towards him, her hands up in a placating gesture.

"Sebastian, please calm down. Whatever it is, we can talk about it." Sebastian's eyes bored into her, unblinking. "Look, I know things have been hard for all of us, but we have to stick together. We're a family, remember?"

He took a step back, hands still balled into fists. "Yeah, well, you don't know what it's like to have to live with the consequences of your actions. You don't know what it's like to have to watch everything you care about slowly slip away." His voice broke, and he turned away from them, shoulders shaking with
silent sobs.

Antonio's mom exchanged a look of concern with her son before slowly moving to comfort Sebastian. She placed a hand on his shoulder, feeling the tension in his muscles. "We're here for you, Sebastian. We'll get through this together."

He shook his head, still not looking at them. "No, you won't. You never have. You never understand." His voice was raw with emotion, and it pierced their hearts. Antonio took a tentative step forward, wanting to say something, but not knowing what.

Sebastian drunkenly stumbled into his room, slamming the door behind him. Antonio and his mom exchanged worried glances before following him. They knocked softly on the door, hoping to reason with him. There was no response, so they slowly opened it to find Sebastian lying facedown on his bed, sobbing uncontrollably.

Antonio's mom sat down gently on the edge of the bed, reaching out to touch Sebastian's shoulder. "Sebastian, please talk to us. We want to help." Her voice was soft and comforting, but it only seemed to make him more upset. He thrashed wildly, pushing her away.

"Leave me alone!" he screamed, his voice raw with emotion. "You don't understand! You never understand!" His words cut through them like a knife, and they both felt a sting of guilt. They knew he was hurting, but they didn't know how to make it better.

They slowly left the room, not knowing what to do, their hearts heavy with guilt and confusion. Antonio didn't sleep well that night, haunted by the sounds of Sebastian's sobs and his mother's quiet tears. In the morning, he woke up, feeling horrible.

He went downstairs, but didn't find anyone there, so he went into the dining room and quietly ate his breakfast. After that, he went in search of his mom, when he found Sebastian standing next to the door, waiting.
"Henrietta's gotten a fever. So I'll be dropping you off to school. Now hurry up, I don't have all day," he said, before leaving the house and starting the car.

Antonio didn't reply, just got his things, and walked towards the car. The car ride was awfully quiet. Antonio would occasionally glance at his brother, but Sebastian would always look away, refusing to make eye contact. He felt guilty for not being able to comfort him the night before, but he didn't
know how.

Sebastian was always so angry and resentful, it was hard to tell when he actually needed help. When they arrived at school, Sebastian just nodded at Antonio and Antonio got out of the car. Antonio sighed. He felt a pang of sadness in his chest. He wanted things to be different, wanted his family to be happy again.

As he walked into the school, he was greeted by the familiar buzz of activity. The hallways were crowded with students, all talking and laughing as they made their way to their first period classes. All he could think about was Sebastian and the pain he was going through. He wished there was something he could do to make it better, but he didn't know where to start.

He hesitantly made his way towards the football field. He sat down on the bleachers, but couldn't find anyone. Just then, he was dragged by the collar, and was made to stand, face to face with his worst nightmare. Tristyn.

"Sup, bitch?" he spat. "So you came." He went closer to Antonio and whispered in his ear. "Such an obedient little puppy." He gently stroked Antonio's hair. "Good boy," he purred. Antonio swallowed hard, trying to avoid eye contact. Tristyn's words sent.shivers down his spine. Tristyn's grip on his hair tightened, and he yanked his hair back. Antonio winced in pain.

"Look me in the eyes when I talk to you, bitch." Tristyn's voice was low, but it seemed to echo through Antonio's system. He forced himself to meet the older boy's gaze, feeling a mixture of fear welling up inside him.

"What do you want from me?" he managed to say, his voice  trembling slightly. Tristyn smirked. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe I just want to make sure you stay in line. Desmond told me to leave you alone, so I will. But remember, if you cross your limits and try to mess with me, I'll make your life a living hell."

He let go of Antonio's hair and took a step back, looking him over one last time. Then, without waiting for a reply, he turned around and walked away, leaving Antonio standing there, heart racing and head spinning.

Antonio took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. He hoped that from now on, Tristyn would leave him alone.

Antonio went to his Physics class, where he was greeted by Mr. Harris. Mr. Harris the announced, "So, for the first unit, that is, Kinematics, we'll be doing a project based on it to help you guys better understand the concepts. It will be done in pairs, and I've made the pairs."

He started announcing the pairs, "Amelia and Chris, Jason and Pete, Jess and Bryan, Antonio and..." Antonio's heart skipped a beat. Who was he going to be paired up with?

Mr. Harris paused, glancing at Tristyn, who was sitting in the back of the class. "Antonio and Tristyn."
