You were in the midst of packing for the weekend. It had been a while since you'd gone out hiking so you were excited.
Sukuna was texting you a lot more as well. Whenever you get a second to check your phone you'd take it and giddily reply to him.
You were only packing a single suitcase but it took you a lot longer than usual with how distracted you were.
Typically when you're gone you have Satoru or Suguru water your plants but you weren't sure who would do it now. It had been a couple days since your fight and you hadn't heard anything from them yet. It was making you nervous.
You loved them, but in a platonic way. Hearing about their plan to ease you into a relationship still felt like a stab in the back. A betrayal. Though you felt guilty as well. You weren't innocent in this. You were hiding your mother's illness from them for years. They don't even know that your father died.
What kind of friend hides that information?
You were hoping they'd reach out soon. All of you needed to have a talk. You needed to come clean. Once there were no more hidden feelings and secrets kept between the three of you, you'd be able to be friends once more.
You were leaving tomorrow morning with Sukuna, which definitely kept your mind preoccupied from the current situation.
You picked up your phone again and smiled.
Sukuna - If you still need someone to water your plants I can have Yuji do it. That brat is going to have the whole apartment to himself over the weekend so I need to give him errands to keep him busy.
Me - That would be nice. Some of my flowers are blooming :)
Sukuna - Show me
You wandered out into your living room and snapped a few photos of the vibrant blossoms. You picked the best one and sent it his way. You didn't even notice your reflection in the window and the cute smile you wore without thought.
Sukuna received the photo and stood there for a moment. Simply standing in the laundry room with his phone close to his face.
He used two fingers to zoom in on your reflection. He smirked to himself for a moment before he heard Yuji's footsteps approaching.
Yuji poked his head into the room, "You're still doing laundry? What's taking so long?"
"None of your damn business," Sukuna sneered and set his phone on top of the washer to continue working.
Yuji stepped in, "Are you still packing? You started like an hour ago."
"Why do you care, punk-ass? Go clean your room," Sukuna bent over to pull the clean clothes from the washer and put them into the dryer.
Yuji chewed his lip for a moment before snatching Sukuna's phone. Sukuna shot up quickly, dropping the clothes in the process.
"Damn brat!" Sukuna scowled and tried to get his phone back but Yuji was already running out of the laundry room.
Yuji turned on his phone and gasped, "Ooo does she know you're using her picture as your lock screen?" It was the candid shot Sukuna took of you with the polar bear.
"You have three seconds to give that back!" Sukuna wasn't far behind Yuji, and since the young boy was directed by the phone, he stood no chance.
Sukuna yanked his brother to the ground, quickly taking his phone back, then smacking the back of Yuji's head.
"Next time you do that I'll kick you out to the streets," Sukuna spat and Yuji laughed.
"Are you two together yet?" He shielded himself with his arms as Sukuna smacked him again.
