Did someone attack her again?

I pushed the door open to see her pale and fragile, her hand plastered, her eyes closed. I felt a knot in my gut, possibly from the stench. I noticed an elderly nurse sitting next to her.

"Now can you tell me what happened?" I inquired, capturing everyone's attention; the old lady glanced at me for a few seconds before turning to Ada without saying anything. Who is this new character in the story?

"Maybe someone attacked her, Mr. Malhotra. Her bruised arms and the sight of her throat suggest that someone was attempting to kill her," the doctor stated as he entered the room. I frowned, "Her father said she slipped from the top of the stairs," I looked at Miss Sharma but she was zoned out.

Why is everything so complicated around her? There's something fishy. Something has gone wrong that I am unable to find. "It's not your business, Vidyut; don't divert your mind," my subconscious mind reminds me.

"Ada, are you okay?" the old nurse inquired, and then she looked at me.The doctor examined her and spoke with her as suddenly someone dragged me outside the cabin. Aditya.

"What? "Why are you dragging me like that?" I inquired, and he instructed me to remain silent.

"I think you should not leave her alone," he said, making me frown. "Maybe, you told me Shanaya tried to harm her? Maybe she tried it again! So I believe she is not safe in her residence," he said, but his voice was concerned.

"Do you know Miss Sharma?" I asked. Aditya Deskmukh, the man who never showed concern to any stranger is now worried about her? Why? But he's hiding something; how silly of him to believe I won't be able to detect his deception? Maybe he has forgotten who's he talking to.

"Hmm... you're right. I'll deploy security outside her house and talk to her father about this," I offered, but he shook his head and continued, "Your guards couldn't give her the protection that you could." Yes, he is correct. "But it does not mean she will stay at my house; neither will I share my house with her nor will she consent to stay."
