Chapter 2 (Adriana)

Elijah's POV
Helping out dad was such a chore between injured warriors left and right, but what really gets me going is thinking about Adriana.. last time I saw her was when she was in the healer den looking all the plants dad has had for years and years, dad now will never let me go near her because he notices the little things with me and knows me way too well, and how much of a flirt I am when it comes to her.. just the sound of her voice gets me going, as I am setting up items for my dad to examine bunch of these elders and injured warriors from last patrol I see Adriana come darting in with a very fierce look on her which she doesn't look happy at all.. I so badly want to ask but I do not want to be a burden.

I heard her though which gets me somewhat going listen but hears come out of her mouth of a forced marriage with her parents arguing with her about how thy were gonna force her to marry someone she probably will not like.. My father tried everything to console her with this type of thing because I can hear him as she was studying the plants again when she was little on to of other things.. I come walking in with a straight mind but looking at her with her petite body, long black hair, and her spitfire personality.. makes me want to show her things that she will regret later coming from me..

Over the years shes indeed gotten more and more beautiful and quite honestly I want to protect her as much as I can but with the limitation of my father and the training I barely get to see her by herself but being around makes me think of the things I wanna do to her like slam her on this desk and forget the world around me...

I walk in seeing my father and seeing her slightly not her bubbly spitfire self, which my dad mumbles to me to keep a eye on her with the way because he was indeed worried for her as well,  which I have no problem watching her, with that question of his I felt like I was given a chance to be alone with her.  I see dad walk away into the ER of the healers den, then I spoke with such bass of a voice.. "So you alright?" I sat next to her, then coming from her I hear an exhale then she spoke with that soft voice of hers that makes me think thoughts i shouldn't be thinking.. "Yeah I am alright besides my ad wants me to marry someone I do not know of, so my mother is trying to find ways to stop this at once because when they were our age they were soulmates..." just watching her just break down breaks me into two because this woman in front of me has been through enough..

Looking at her with the way I am "well hopefully your mother can convince your dad another loophole to not be forced to marry someone that you probably will not have a connection with" She looked at me with such sadness in her eyes, which broken me more and more.. I wish there was more I could do for her...
