Samantha was out in a club, hoping to get to know someone new. It was easy to draw everyone's attention with what she was wearing. It was a tight white top, her shoulders and her flat belly were showing her beautiful clear skin, her mini skirt underlined her long legs. Cool white boots graced her feet. Confidently she stood in the middle of the room, throwing back her long purple hair. Nearly all eyes were on her but no one dared to directly look at her, nor start a conversation witg her. Her beauty was too scary. Too intimidating. Humans were shy. This won't work like that.

Quickly Samantha went to the bar to order a drink. The barkeeper nearly dropped an empty glass, he was just drying with a cloth. She smiled at him. "Could I get a Margarita?", she asked him.

"Of course! Right away!", he responded after he put the glass next to the sink.

Mixing her drink, Samantha watched him. His brown hair fell into his green eyes. They looked a little lonely but friendly. He was probably a good person.
Samantha noticed how a young man  approached her.
"I will pay for that!", he said obviously drunk. Sweaty black hair was sticking to his forhead and he had a cheap looking silver nose ring.

Samantha looked at him, surprised and starting to speak, but the barkeeper interrupted them: "Dan, please, no, you had enough fun for today! You will go home! I will call a taxi for you!"

Thankfully Samantha looked at the barkeeper.

Dan seemed defeated. He knew it was pointless to resist the barkeeper, so he didn't say anything, just gazed at the floor.

Samantha felt pity with Dan and tapped on his shoulder.
"Don't be sad, Dan! Maybe next time!"

"Could I at least get your number?", he asked her, still sounding drunk.

"Mmmh... Are you even able to write it down?"

"I will just give you my phone!", Dan said, holding his smart phone infront of her.

"Of course", Samantha meant and tipped in a fake phone number.

Dan won't realise it any time soon, as drunk as he was and she didn't want a drunk idiot to fall in love with her. It had to be real love. So, Samantha will have to give her heart away too.

As she was finished tipping in the number, she gave him back his phone. Dan put it right back in his pocket and said: "thank you!" with a drunk undertone.
Samantha wondered how long it will take him to get sober again and avoided to roll her eyes.

"Could I get a good bye kiss?", he tried to ask her nicely but she just looked at him shocked, while he closed his eyes and showed his pointed lips towards her face. His sweaty black hair fell into his eyes.

Luckily the barkeeper pulled Dan away from her by grabbing his arm from over the bar table.

"Dan! It's enough now! Leave the lady alone!"

Samantha thankfully looked at him and gave him a soft smile, without Dan seeing it.

The drunk man seemed sad and disappointed.
"No one loves me!", he called as he walked away into the direction of the exit of the club.

Suddenly Samantha felt a lot of pity for him. Compunctiously also the barkeeper looked after him untill he was gone.

"Maybe I should have...", Samantha started, still staring into the same diraction. She didn't really know how to finish the sentence.

"No, no, don't worry about that drunk dork, he won't remember anything about this the next morning anyway", the barkeeper said.

"Still, it's... kind of sad... How often is he here? Do you know his story?", Samantha didn't know why she suddenly was so interested in Dan, now that he was gone. She guessed, she just wanted to make sure, he will be okay. The barkeeper told her to not worry about him, though.
