"Don't slam the door like that." He scolded with an annoyed tone in his voice as they exited the car, causing the woman's smile to fade immediately. She nodded at him, her demeanor deflating as she apologized. Her company only shook his head and grabbed her hand, leading the shorter woman just across the street to a very fancy restaurant.
Ariana was a vision of elegance and grace tonight, her presence seemed to command attention despite the subtle deflation of her demeanor. She wore a sleek, form-fitting dress that hugged her curves in all the right places, the fabric shimmering softly under the glow of the streetlights. Her blonde hair was styled in an elegant bun, with loose curls cascading down the sides of her face, framing features that exuded timeless beauty.
Beside her, Dalton appeared disinterested, his attention consumed by the glowing screen of his phone. He barely spared Ariana a glance. His indifference was palpable, a stark contrast to the ethereal presence of the woman by his side.
Ariana expected for Dalton to open the door for her, but well, his phone kept him too busy to do so, thus she opened it herself. With a muffled 'thanks' he glanced at her briefly and entered, leaving the woman behind.
"Good evening sir.. and miss. Welcome to Le Paragon. Do you have a reservation for tonight ?" The waitress's beautiful voice immediately drew Ariana's attention as she approached them with a smile playing on her lips. She was dressed in a white shirt with a collar, a tight black vest accentuating her figure, and black formal pants. Her hair was perfectly styled in a bun, secured with a black band.
She looked mesmerizing. The whole place felt so magical and formal. Although Ariana preferred quieter places, this time she didn't mind. Before she could thank the waitress and confirm the reservation she asked for, Dalton stepped in the conversation.
"Table for two, name Gomez." He sputtered out, slightly surprising the waitress with his presence, yet she maintained her smile and asked them both to follow her.
As the waitress escorted them to their table, Ariana couldn't help but feel a rush of warmth flood her cheeks as the waitress pulled out her chair. It was a simple gesture, but one that spoke volumes compared to Dalton's indifference. He had already seated himself, engrossed in his phone, seemingly oblivious to the etiquette of chivalry.
But for Ariana, the unexpected attention from the waitress felt like a breath of fresh air. Her cheeks flushed even deeper as she took her seat thanking her with a shy smile, grateful for the small moment of attention amidst the indifferent atmosphere with Dalton.
"My name is Y/n and i will be your server for tonight. May i get you something to drink before you decide on your order ?"
Y/n. The lovely name resonated in Ariana's mind as she stared at her.
"I can recommend you our highly popular Veuve Clicquot pink champagne." the waitress added with a warm smile, her gaze lingering on Ariana.
As the waitress recommended the Veuve Clicquot, Ariana's eyes lit up with recognition as she nodded with a smile. It was her favorite champagne, and she couldn't help but appreciate the waitress's suggestion.
"Red wine will fit. Thanks," Dalton interjected, placing down the drinks menu on the table. The waitress jotted down his order with a polite nod. "I'll be right back," she said before turning around and leaving them alone.
As they waited for their drinks, Ariana couldn't help but admire the elegant ambiance of the restaurant. "I love this place. How did you find it ?" A weak smile tugs in the corner of his lips as he responds. "My ex-girlfriend showed me this place. We loved to go here together and-"
