After we arrived back at Josh's appartement, he helped me carry my bags in, as well as unpack them.
Together we tidied up the house and I started getting ready for my shift. The whole time I had a pit in my stomach.
Adam was going to be mad at me. The only reason I wasn't calling in sick was because Vicky was there and I couldn't leave her.
I finished pulling up my black skirt over my black tights and tucking my white button up into the skirt. I didn't feel like looking my best so I just put some light makeup on and threw my hair into two braids.
I walked out of the bedroom into the living area as Kenny and Johnny were arriving.
"Oh thank god Josh got his head out of his ass in time" Kenny said walking straight to the fridge and getting himself a beer.
"Yeah yeah, I get it." Josh said glaring at Kenny before taking a swig of his own drink.
"I'm glad you guys worked out whatever little thing you had going on," Johnny said walking over to me. "It would have sucked if we had to choose sides and I couldn't hangout with Josh anymore. It'd be kinda hard for the band Y'know?" He said pulling me into a hug.
I giggled and gladly returned the hug, I wasn't sure how much Josh had told them of our fight. But I'm guessing not much otherwise they would hate me.
I had sent David divorce papers but he never signed them and refused to get a lawyer so by law I was technically still married.
I was so thankful to Josh that he had forgiven me despite this, but not only that he was taking the blame for our fight. I glanced up at him to see him reading over what looked like a notebook.
"Are you goin somewhere vee?" Kenny said, he'd somehow managed to finish his first beer already and was taking another one out of the fridge.
"My shift starts soon, but I might be able to catch you guys after." I said sloping on my small black heels.
"Man that sucks. Just quit." Kenny joked.
I laughed before answering. " I wish. I'll see you guys later" and with that I waved goodbye and headed out the door.
The entire car ride there the pit in my stomach grew. It was like my body could sense that I was getting closer and closer to Adam.
I pulled into the parking lot and sat in my car for a second. I was 5 minutes early but I needed time to collect myself.
I took a few deep breaths imagining myself leaving my shift in a few hours and forced myself out of my car.
I walked in and grabbed my apron off the hook. No Adam yet. I sighed and made my way to the counter.
"My angel." Vicky's voice range out behind me.
I smiled and turned to her, hugging her before continuing to set everything up.
"How's things with boytoy?" She questioned, tying her own apron around her waist.
"There good," I smiled at the thought of Josh. "There really good."
Vicky looked down at my and grinned.
"So he made it up to you huh?" She smirked and elbowed my while wiggling her brows.I felt my cheeks turn pink and I rolled my eyes. "Oh stop it." I said looking down.
"..but damn right he did." I laughed, giving her a brow wiggle of my own.Vick let out a laugh and helped me set up.
For the most part it went fairly well. There was the occasional rude costumer but nothing too extreme. I didn't see Adam once and me and Vicky were able to just kinda hangout.
