Heather and Dagur were both invited to stay at the chiefs hut. Although things were getting awkward for Hiccup and Dagur.
Hiccup and Dagur were at the table, sitting alone with no one. Toothless was taking a nap on the floor beside Hiccup. Stoick and Heather had just left to talk about some serious matter, but Dagur couldn't still believe what he had heard back in the Great Hall. "So H, how did this happen? I mean, it's not like you knew us for the past I don't know... 5 YEARS!" Dagur was not taking the news great at all.
"It wasn't my choice Dagur. Besides, I didn't even know anything until this morning, I swear."
"But how did you even manage to get here anyways? Didn't everyone think you were dead or something"
"That's a story for another time. Right now, I need to figure out how to stop "this" from happening."
"Oh. So now your're saying that you don't want to marry my sister?"
Hiccup looked at him confused. "What?"
"Are you saying my sister isn't perfect for you? You think that you are SO great that you don't even need someone? Is she not the right person for you or something? Did that blonde back in the Great Hall know about this because she seemed shocked as I was."
"Dagur, just stop. That's not what I meant when I said "this" . You're twisting my words" At this point, he was getting annoyed.
"Alright fine. Maybe it's getting in my head. I just never though she would go with a scrawny guy."
Hiccup stared at him. Never in their life would they have thought to discuss a possible marriage about him and Heather. Dagur never thought about the idea that Hiccup would even think about marrying his sister, but it was happening right in front of him.
"Hey, how about instead of marrying my sister, you marry that blonde in the Great Hall? She seems nice."
Hiccup thought about it for a moment. "Look Dagur, it's not like I want to marry your sister-no offence- but I didn't even know that she was coming to Berk. You know my dad Dagur, he just wants the best for me, even though we had some things happen in the past... but still"
"I know what you're getting at brother, but I still don't get how your father had time to set this all up without you knowing."
"He's my dad, he does things without me knowing it. I should probably talk about it with him because if he did this, I don't know what else his doing behind my back."
"That sounds like a problem right there!"
Toothless had woken up from his nap. He started stretching, letting out a little yawn. It was awkward for a little while. The front door opened. Stoick and Heather had come in the room.
"Hey son, and Dagur." Stoick had some energy that wasn't seen before in a long time. Hiccup and Dagur smiled.
"I wanted to get some things straight with you and Heather."
Hiccup started out saying, "Dad, I don't think that I-"
"I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to Dagur."
Dagur looked surprised. "What do we have to talk about Chief? If it is about letting Heather marry your son over here then-"
"It's not about THAT Dagur," He nervously said. "It's about something else we need to discuss, private."
Hiccup started to get up. "Well then, might as well leave you guys be. I'll be back until night. C'mon Toothless."
