"Ahh Maa Don't cry I am not leaving you forever I am just going to Mumbai," Maya said while hugging her mother, who had tears in her eyes as her daughter was leaving for Mumbai for her further studies, a 19-year-old who has always been with her parents was leaving her hometown to get the lives of her dreams.
"Of course you are not it's just you have never been away from us and it's so painful to watch you go" Her mother was too emotional watching her leave.
Literature was her only dream All she wanted when she was 14 was to grow up and be a writer or a poet cause she saw her elder brother who is now a famous novelist. As she was loading her bags in the car she looked at her house for the last time before leaving, cause this was the place where she grew up and learned what her dreams were.
The roads that take us to the destiny we call OUR destination are the toughest. As you get far away from your old places you feel a little anxious and that's when the second thoughts arise but in her case. She looked out the window to see the last glimpse of her city, her solace, her little world, her hometown. This is the time to wave back to the places where she was for her whole childhood. Dreams are something that demand your sweat blood and tears for them. You give up things to get what you want. Life's fun until you are getting serious about things that are yours.
She didn't realize when she dozed off while looking outside the window and planning the things she'd do when she'd be in her dreamland.

"Ma'am!! Ma'am!!..." The cab driver was calling her cause they almost reached the destination. all this while she was sleeping and missed the way to her destiny "We are almost here."
"I just slept the whole way.." She seemed sad and the cab driver smiled a little which got unnoticed by her as she was too busy cursing herself for sleeping all this time. She looked outside to see winds Live as the whole city was filled with life, she was excited to see how her room would be!!
_________
"What The actual FUCK!!.." She exclaimed in despair and shock at the same time looking at the room "You call this a ROOM??... And we Have to share it??..." she looked over at her roommate Juhi, They had just met and Juhi was another bookworm and future writer who finds her solace in books
"What else were you expecting a palace queen??.." Sarcasm dripped as Juhi laughed while Maya looked at the room and frowned. "Now unpack and arrange your bed and space I'll be on my bed Most probably sleeping." Juhi was quick with the announcement and lay down on the bed to have a peaceful sleep.
"Okay Let's do this then," Maya whispered as she didn't want to disturb her roommate. She was tired too doing all this stuff that she was going to do right now.
She quickly unzipped her suitcase and started to arrange her clothes in the almirah right there. The homesick feeling starts here when you are trying to build a home in a new room that is not your home. You start to unpack the stuff you bought to make the new place look like a home and that's when your heart starts to fill up with emotions. They say HOME is where the HEART is, and Maya's heart was in Mumbai still everything never fell into place. She looked around the room, The walls were not the same color as hers, and didn't have her childhood memories. It was a bare room in which she had to fill life so that she feels HOME there.
She quickly filled the almirah with all her clothes and everything that was supposed to be there. And continued to make this ROOM into HOME.
