Hers (Velvet x Fem! Reader)

Throughout the night I noticed how touchy Lily was getting with Velvet. I would shoot Lily glares here and there. I turn to Veneer who seems bored out of his mind.

"Now the awards for best pop album!" The host announced.

Everyone claps, some standing up while doing so. I watch as Velvet and Veneer look at each other with huge smiles on their faces, then I turn to Lily. She's staring at me with a huge grin on her face, kinda creeping me out... I turn my focus away from her and look back at the host who is pulling out a piece of paper from the envelope she walked in with.

"And the best POP Album goes to.... Everyone drum roll!"

Everyone starts smacking their thighs to drum roll.

"Lily's pop album 'Lily'!"

The room goes completely silent. Everyone knew that Lily being called up was a mistake. Their jaws were on the floor. Everyone knows that the award is Velvet's and Veneer's.

Veneer glares at Lily as she stands up to claim her award but the host motions her hand, telling Lily to sit back down.

"Sorry I was handed the wrong envelope. The true winners are VELVET and VENEER!"

Everyone started clapping for them including me myself. Velvet turned to me and gave me her hand.

"Help me walk up the stairs" She yanked my arm and I followed.

As I reached the stairs I held her close to me so she wouldn't fall. Once we reached the mic, Velvet claimed the award and Veneer thanked everyone before Velvet said her short speech.

"I just wanna thank all of my fans, supporters, and..."

Velvet turns to me then back at Veneer.

"And my brother! I also wanna give thanks to my cameraman, y/n! "

Velvet smiles and walks off the stage holding my hand. We sit back down at our table and the host continues the award show.

"Where's your friend Velvet?" Veneer questions.

"She probably got embarrassed and left" I blurt out.

Velvet shoots a glare at me with squinted eyes signaling me to shut up. I shut my mouth and look down at the table.

"She's probably in the restroom, don't say such things about her" Velvet says.

Why does Velvet care? They only just met. Why is she kinda protective of Lily? Is she protective towards me too? Maybe I'm overthinking this.

I stand up and walk over to the restroom to find Lily. I stop at the restroom door and knock.

"Come in"

I walk in and it's Lily with a smile on her face with puffy red eyes.

"I'm sorry about earlier. I'm sure that host will get karma for mixing up the invitation" I say.

"Thank you Velvet. I know we've only known each other for a couple of hours but I feel a strong connection with you. Can I ask you something?"

I nod my head and prepare myself for the question she's about to throw at me.

"Are you interested in girls? Would you date a girl?"

My eyes widen.

"Oh? I never w-would've expected this question"

How do I answer this???

"Well recently I've been attracted to a girl. Well I kissed a girl before but I didn't feel any connection with the girl I kissed at first but now... I don't know... Maybe"
