"Mummy look! It's a lovely petting zoo! Will there be hamsters? And hamsters?" A little girl named Louise is bouncing in her carseat, incredibly excited to go to this 'lovely petting zoo' of which is a drab looking run down roadside zoo, greyer than the heart of London.

"Oh no Lou, this doesn't look very nice, it's all muddy and boggy, we can just go to pets-"

A tall stocky man approaches the red Honda Civic, he is covered in tattoos with huge plate ear piercings and a black t-shirt with a sticker that says "zoo" on it.

"Hello, are you pulling in?" He says.

"Excuse me?" Louise's mum mutters.

"Are you parking?" He says.

"Oh no we're jus-"

"YES! YESSSS PLEEEEASE! WE'RE PARKING RIGHT NOW!" Louise screams and leans forward to honk the horn.

"Free parking here, lasts an hour." The man says.

Louise looks at her mother hopefully, her mother is now incredibly pissed off.

"Fine." she says. "But only an hour and when the parking starts costing money we're leaving."

"Yes alright we can leave after an hour that's plenty of time to see the hamsters, you do have hamsters right?" Louise gets out of the car and slams the door shut. There's a few other children at the roadside zoo, crowding a small wire fenced plot.

"Of course we have hamsters they're in the Reptile section. Do you want to see the hamsters first? We have sheeps and we have a bunny rabbit." The 'zookeeper' says in a fake sounding Texan accent.

"I want to see the hamsters first- no I have to see the hamsters first it's an absolute absolutely a necessity if I don't see the hamsters first, I will explode."

"Yeah she really wants to see the hamsters first." Louise's mother sighs looking a bit out of her depth.

"Mummy you can read your Kindle in the car." Louise gestures to the car and her mum goes off to do exactly that.

So Louise and the strange keeper man go inside the reptile house which for some reason is holding a multitude of dwarf hamsters as well.

Louise is playing with the hamsters having a time of her life she loves hamsters, everyone loves hamsters by specially Louise she's obsessed with them herself. The man is standing there watching and making small talk just normal conversation, yes it's a dodgy zoo, and yes the rodents are in the reptile house but nothing seems to out of the ordinary.

When Louise comes out of the reptile house she sees an odd man dressed as a rabbit in a muddy soiled pen, she stands there and watches a while. Theres still children around him taunting him and hitting him with sticks. He doesn't respond to their aggression, he's used to it, he sits placidly like he's used to this treatment, as though he knows he deserves it somehow.

Louise steps forward to get a closer inspection. As she approaches, she can see now, there's nothing cute or funny about this man in a rabbit suit, something awful has happened to him, there's something very wrong with him. The kids were running up to the fence, banging on it, shouting obscenities and trying to hit the rabbit man with sticks and rocks, they'd throw pieces of junk food into his cage too.

Louise approaches the Texan "zookeeper" and asks: "What's that rabbit man doing? Why are the kids allowed to do that? Is he a nonce or something?"

"Oh he's just some wack job who gets paid to dress up and come here all day, probably mental, everyone knows him, throws stuff at him, he doesn't respond, he's used to the abuse, we don't care what happens to him, they throw trash at him and he just sits there gets his paycheck and leaves, I personally think it's hilarious." Jerry responds.
