(Meanwhile at Jin's mindscape, a burned forest is seen as Jun's voice is heard.)
Jun: 🎵There is an ogre on this island. When the orge appears, you must hide.🎵
(Jin is seen coming out of a portal as he feels a headache as he then sees his mother's seemingly unconscious body. As he rushes to her...)
Jin: Mother!
(Her body suddenly disappears, and a devious laugh is heard.)
????: You couldn't protect your own mother. All because you are powerless.
(Jin's devil counter part approaches Jin, who turns to see nobody.)
????: Those without power lose everything.
(Jin turns to see his devil counterpart, who smirks deviously at him.)

Devil Jin: Just how many precious things have slipped through your fingers up until now?
(Jin remembers what he saw when he was underwater.)
Jin: You're from back then?
Devil Jin: You need power. Steep your very being in anger and hatred... walk a path dedicated solely to vengeance. That vessel... SURRENDER TO ME!
(Jin starts his inner fight as he and his inner devil have a brief clash. Jin gains advantage as he kicks Devil Jin.)
Jin: No longer will I succumb to my rage and hatred.
(Devil Jin counters.)
Devil Jin: It seems talking will get us nowhere.
(They resume their fight, and Jin seemingly defeats Devil Jin with his Rage Arts.)
Jin: I have to thank you, you know.
(Suddenly a black mist covers Jin, who then looks around and finds himself in a somewhat ruined temple.)
Devil Jin: (over voice) Your arrogance engulfed the world in war, ravaged it. (shows up) Everywhere you go, anger and hatred follow. How are you any different than Kazuya Mishima?
(Jin remembers when he started a war along with Union Academy against G Corporation and the deceased League of Darkness. Devil Jin is then sitting in the very throne Jin used to sit down.)
Devil Jin: You must live with your sins. You will only find atonement through solitude.
Jin: The awareness of my sins and my duty gave me the will to move forward. And yet... Atonement won't come from fighting on my own.
(They fight again, and Jin makes the first move.)
Jin: All the people I've met shaped me into who I am now.
(Jin easily defeats Devil Jin without breaking a sweat.)
Jin: I'll live on, together with my sins.
(The black mist covers the area again, and then Jin and someone who looks like him walk towards each other in a deserted battlefield.)
Jin?: It looks like you've faced yourself, and overcome your past.
Jin: You're right. We've been at the mercy of our anger, and our hatred.
(Then the other Jin is seen with his eyes glowing golden.)
Jin?: Precisely, shouldering that sin and duty made us strong.
Jin: All of this has led me to become the man I am today.
Jin?: And to your future self.
Jin: I've come here to accept it all and take the ownership of my past.
(They then stop walking.)
Jin: And when I leave here, it'll be to welcome a better tomorrow.
(Jin walks again as some chains wrap around him.)
Jin: I won't reject you... reject myself any longer. I need you to break them... these chains that bind me.
Devil Jin: Yeah.
(Then they fight again as Devil Jin starts breaking the chains.)
Devil Jin: I am one of the strengths within you. (they keep fighting) We were always together from the time of our birth. (punches Jin) I'm not giving up... I'm going to save you.
(Jin is brought down, but gets up.)
Jin: Yeah... you're me, and I am you.
(Devil Jin gets closer to break the chains, and then he performs his Rage Arts, finally managing to do so.)
Devil Jin: The chains that bound you are no more. What is it you truly desire?
Jin: My desire...
(Jin hears several voices calling for his name, and then he clenches his fist as he gets up.)
Jin: I want to protect those important to me, even if it costs my life. Toward that end, I need your strength. Come, Devil. Let's fight together once more!
Devil Jin: You need not even ask. Never shall I deny you. (dissipates) If that's your wish, then I accept it wholeheartedly.
(Jin then sees Devil Jin's particles surrounding him as he remembers his last fight with Kazuya.)
Jin: You've always been protecting me, haven't you. You have my thanks, and my apologies. Take a look. This time, I'll be the one to protect them all.
(His eyes glow bright as his wings show up, one is white, and other is black. He then flies off as the screen goes black)
