Ch6:

The next day, I wake up and see a shinigami. "Ahhhh!" I scream in fear, Aizawa and Hizashi run upstairs. "What's wrong?! Are you ok?!" Aizawa and Hizashi say as the barge in. "W-what's that?!" I say pointing to the wall. "There's nothing there kiddo." Aizawa says, looking at where I am pointing. "W-what do you mean there's nothing there?! It's a monster!" I say trembling in fear. "There's nothing there, little listener. You're hallucinating things." Hizashi says as he gets closer to me. "I-I'm not! It's real, I'm not hallucinating! I...." I stop arguing and stare at the wall. "You're the only one that can see and hear me." The monster says to me. "W-what are you?" I ask the monster, trembling in fear. "I'm a shinigami, a god of death. My name is Ryuk." Ryuk says with a creepy smile. "A-A shinigami? T-that's not possible." I say trembling in fear. "Hey kiddo, who are you talking to? And what do you mean by shinigami?" Aizawa asks me, his voice filled with concern. "I-it's nothing... I thought I saw something. Sorry..." I say, not wanting to freak Aizawa or Hizashi out. "Are you sure little listener? You know you can tell us anything, right?" Hizashi reminds me, worry noticeable in his eyes. "Yea I'm sure, sorry for worrying you." After they leave, I sit on my bed for a while just staring at Ryuk. "W-why are you here? What do you want with me?" I ask Ryuk, trembling in fear. "You have my Death Note, that's why I'm here." Ryuk says as he looks around my room. A bowl of apples catches his eye and he tries one. "Earth apples taste so, what's the word... juicy." Ryuk says, adding a creepy smirk at the end. I take out the Death Note and look at it curiously. "What does it do? Why is it called a Death Note?" I ask curiously, looking at the notebook and back at the shinigami. "Didn't you read the rules? It explains everything." Ryuk tells me, i immediately open the notebook and start reading the rules out loud. "How To Use: The human whose name is written in this note shall die. This note will not take effect unless the writer hat the person's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected. If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the person's name, it will happen. If the cause of death is not specified, the person will simply die of a heart attack. After writing the cause of death, details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds."
