The late afternoon sun cast a warm golden glow over the flower meadows where Radha, Lalita, and Vishakha were busy picking bright blossoms and placing them gently in their baskets. The air was filled with the sweet fragrance of the flowers, and laughter floated on the gentle breeze as the friends chatted and joked with each other.
But then, above the rustling of the flowers and the soft hum of bees, Radha heard a faint, melodious sound. She paused, her heart skipping a beat as the familiar notes of a flute drifted towards her. Closing her eyes, she let the music wash over her, feeling a sense of peace and longing stir within her soul. Without a word, Radha set her basket down and began to follow the sound of the flute, her friends watching her with curiosity
Lalita reached out to her and stopped her in her tracks, "Kishori, yeh kaha jaa rahi hai ?"
"Lalitey, kya tumhe basuri ki dhun sunayi nahi di ? Nandraj ka putra mujhe bula raha hai." Radha said softly.
Vishakha gazed at her curiously, "Aapko kaise pata ki aapko bulaya jaa raha hai ? Kaise pata ki woh Nandraj ka hi putra hai ?"
Radha smiled as she gazed at the direction from where the melody was coming from, "Yadi gaur se suno, toh uss murli ki dhun mei keval 'Radha-Radha' hi sunayi dega. Aur Krishna ko chhod, itne prem se mujhe kaun pukaar sakta hai ?"
Saying so she moved through the meadows, the music grew louder and more enchanting, leading her deeper into the heart of the flowers. The colors seemed to blur around her, the world fading away as she lost herself in the magic of the flute's melody.
"Kintu sakhi, aapke Mata Pita ne aapko jaldi aane ko kaha hai !" Lalita said.
Radha turned around with a smile and said, "Koi baat nahi. Unhe thodi pratiksha karne do." before running back to the direction, her garments flowing in the winds.
Finally, she emerged into a small clearing, where Krishna sat beneath a tree, his eyes closed in rapture as he played the flute with skill and passion. He was surrounded by his friends and the gentle cows, his flute held to his lips as he played a melody that seemed to speak directly to her soul. Sensing her presence, he opened his eyes and gazed at her with a smile. Krishna extended his hand towards Radha, a silent invitation for her to join him.
Unable to resist, she took his hand and allowed him to pull her down to sit beside him on the soft grass. The world around them seemed to fade away as they sat together, the music of the flute once again began weaving a magical spell over her. In that moment, Radha felt that connection with Krishna that transcended all the bondages.
Krishna finished his melody and looked at Radha with a smile that melted her heart. She couldn't help but return the smile, feeling a sense of peace and happiness wash over her.
He said, "Savere se yaha hu, tumhari pratiksha karta huya. Aur tum ab aayi ho."
"Savere se ?" Radha asked her eyes widening in concern, "Toh kuch khaya nahi hoga na ?"
Krishna couldn't help but smile at that, he simply nodded which made her turn to Lalita, gesturing her to give the lunch bag.
"Parantu, yeh toh aapka bhojan hai na ?" Lalita said handing the lunch bag to her friend.
Radha smiled, "Mera sab kuch ab Krishna ka hi toh hai." She said as she opened the lunch and took out some delicious treats that she had packed for the day.
She offered it to Krishna with her delicate fingers. He accepted the offering with a grateful smile, closing his eyes as he savored the delicious morsel. Their eyes met, and in that moment, it felt as if time stood still. As she fed him, Radha felt a rush of warmth and affection fill her heart. The simple act of nourishing him brought her immense joy, and she couldn't help but smile as she watched him enjoy the food she had prepared.
Radha then took a cloth from the bag and gently wiped the corners of Krishna's mouth, her touch tender and loving.
"Ab tum kya grahan karogi, Radhey ?" Krishna asked.
Radha said with a gentle smile, "Tumne khaya, maine khaya, ek hi baat hai."
"Koi hume bhi khila de." One of the boys commented, bringing the both out of their bubble.
Lalita stepped forward, "Kya kaha !?"
All the cowherd friends of Krishna got up and stepped backwards, very well remembering the beating they had gotten last time from her.
Madhumangal said cautiously, "Arrey Lalita, pyaari Lalita, humara tatparya tha ki... Ki hum sabko bhi bhook lag rahi hai."
The boys nervously nodded, "Ha Ha !"
"Waise Lalita," Madhumangal stepped forward, "Thoda bhojan mujhe bhi dedogi."
Lalita narrowed her eyes at him, before taking out a fruit from her lunch bag and handing it to him. Madhumangal chuckled in delight.
"Tum meri paramsakhi ho !" He said.
Lalita cringed, "Hatt !"
Everyone laughed, whereas Krishna glanced back at Radha, who was smiling at him.
She said, "Krishna, tum se jab bhi milti hu, yeh sansaar ka bandhan tutta hi jaa raha hai."
"Maya se bane, iss bhautik sansaar mei hai hi kya ?" He asked.
Radha said in almost a whisper-like voice, "Tumse adhik toh kuch nahi. Iss liye asantosh prakat nahi kar rahi."
