୨⎯ NOEL'S POV ⎯୧

I took a quick turn down the hall, almost slipping from the socks I wore. Maya was running up ahead, and Luisa and Sergei were close behind.

"It was a joke, Luisa!" Maya screamed out

"Sorry! Can't hear you. You should stop so you can repeat that to my FISTS!" Luisa shouted back.

Instead of resting like Feyre said, we were all talking about what we've did in the original world, our school life. Maya and Luisa had younger siblings that recently joined the high school, and Luisa hated every time her sister greeted us during lunch. Luisa commented on how pale her sister was that she was practically a ghost following us, then Maya commented that there were actually two, and it took a while for me and Sergei to realize who she meant.

I was behind Maya just in case Luisa catches up, I can take the hit for her. Maya looked back at Luisa, but she didn't notice two figures up ahead. It was too late for me to warn her and she ended up bumping into one of them.

I caught her before she fell back on the floor, and she looked up at Feyre. When she glanced at the other figure, who was Tamlin, she started glaring at him. Noticing this, I placed Maya behind me. When Luisa reached us, she just rolled her eyes, kind of annoyed that our chase was cut short.

"Why are you all running?" Feyre asked, confused but relieved that we were here.

"Maya.. insulted Luisa..." Sergei gasped out, breathing heavily when he finally reached us. He leaned against Luisa, who didn't push him off because she remembered what she was going to do. Maya quickly stood beside me, away from Luisa as she gripped my sleeve.

"Maybe I could give them a tour, since they are still energetic." Tamlin suggested to Feyre, but she didn't look like she liked the idea.

"Yeah, no thanks." Luisa raised her hand to decline, and Sergei shook his head as well.

He didn't seem affected by their answers, and turned to me and Maya. Though I would hate it to hang out with him, considering what he did in the second and third book of the series, I needed to clear things with him so we could build trust that is needed for the future.

"I would like that," I spoke up, cutting Maya off. "Mom?" I looked at her, hoping that she could join me. I didn't want to be alone with him, and I would become calm enough to talk to Tamlin when I'm with Mom. I felt happiness surge through me when she nodded. "I guess it would be nice to know where the library is..." she mumbled.
