[Yoohyeon's POV]

I woke up to my alarm going off. My clock never really let's me sleep.

I rub my eyes tiredly before getting out of my bed.

Taking a shower, i change into my professional clothes. My eyes land on a spot on my coat where i could see slight dust.

I rub it off with my hand.

•••••••

Seol flinches when the door opens and she hears Yoohyeon's loud voice.

"Don't you wash my clothes properly?" Asked the silver haired girl, walking towards the maid.

"I do ma'am." Seol replied with a slight smile on her lips hoping it wouldn't just trigger Yoohyeon.

The silver haired girl sighed, "Next time-"

"I will wash them properly ma'am." Seol just gives an awkward nod later on.

"Are you both discussing about clothes again!?"

Yoohyeon and seol both looked at Mr.Kim, he walked towards them with a smile.

Yoohyeon just shrugged it off and started walking off for her work.

"Yoohyeon do you want to have a breakfast with me?"

Mr.Kim followed Yoohyeon as fast as possible, to match Yoohyeon's step.

"No. I had my breakfast." Yoohyeon answered and opened the door to walk outside.

Mr.Kim shook his head, not surprised with his daughter's answer.

He turned around and walked towards the dining table gesturing Seol to bring his breakfast.

•••••••

"Why are you eating in a hurry!?" The black haired girl asked looking at Yoohyeon just shoving french fries inside her mouth like she has been starving for decades.

"I haven't eaten anything Jennie!" Yoohyeon spoke, chewing on her meal and resting her head back on the head-rest of the chair. "Since the morning!" Yoohyeon added and snatched the burger from Jennie's hand.

"God! You're annoying." The black haired girl sighed, rolling her eyes.

Yoohyeon didn't pay mind to it.

Time passed by and Yoohyeon was now standing in front of another lawyer, they happen to cross paths while walking towards the courtroom.

"Your assistant does have a look." Mr.Wook spoke looking at Jennie who was standing beside Yoohyeon holding her files.

Maybe it was genuinely a compliment or was it a mockery? Because Yoohyeon was the only one with an assistant in that firm.

Everyone thought Yoohyeon gave some good stuff to Jennie's mother, in return she let her daughter Jennie work under Yoohyeon.

"I agree she does have a look Mr.Wook." Yoohyeon smiled back and didn't waste any second in talking to him further.

•••••••

"Your Honor, esteemed colleagues, I stand before you today to elucidate the blatant fallacies and childish arguments presented by the opposing counsel. My esteemed adversary has painted a tapestry of half-truths and misrepresentations, leaving the jury with a distorted and incomplete picture of the truth." Yoohyeon spoke looking at the Judge, hands neatly by her sides.

"They have baselessly asserted that my client is guilty of a heinous crime, relying on circumstantial evidence that is as flimsy as a house of cards. The prosecution has failed to establish a clear motive, produce credible witnesses, or offer any concrete evidence that directly links my client to the alleged offense. Such unreliable evidence should be dismissed out of hand." Yoohyeon suggested to the Judge, she looked at Mr.Wook who had a smile on his face, he walked towards her.

"Ah, my brilliant opponent, your eloquence is truly impressive. Your ability to shuffle words and spin tales is remarkable, but I fear it may be just a clever distraction from the glaring truth." Mr.Wook rested his hand over Yoohyeon's shoulder, which she swatted away in a span of second.

Mr.Wook continued, "Your client may be an innocent lamb in your eyes, but the evidence against them is as damning as a smoking gun. The courtroom is not fooled by your clever wordplay; they see the truth."

Yoohyeon smiled back at him, "Your damning evidence is nothing more than a house of cards built on supposition and imagination. You have failed to present any concrete proof."

"Oh, dear adversary, do not play the innocent victim. You know as well as I do that the prosecution has a strong case. Your client's guilt is as clear as the sun in the sky."

"Order, order!"

They both faced the Judge.

"I have listened to the both parties, i would like to review this case once again. The date will be issued, thank you, the court is adjourned." He concluded.

Yoohyeon sighed in frustration, so did Wook.

They didn't wanted dates on dates.

"I'll see you later, you better be prepared because I am going to throw your firm into a trash can." Wook spoke sternly looking at Yoohyeon.

"Goodluck with that." Yoohyeon smiled.

Wook couldn't help but heave a deep sigh before walking away from Yoohyeon, "Fucking moron." Wook whispered to himself.

_______

"Do you think they will leave him?" Asked Jennie, refering to their client, they both walked inside the cabin.

"I have no idea. The judge can't give his decisions that early, it's frustrating." Yoohyeon spoke, sitting on the chair, she stretched her arms.

She removed a cigarette from her pocket and placed it between her lips, Jennie got up to light it up for her.

"Thanks." Yoohyeon whispered exhaling the fogg.

"There are other clients Yoohyeon who need you to look at their cases as well."

"Later." The silver haired girl replied closing her eyes and resting her hand on the table, which had the cigarette.

"They are high profile cases Yoohyeon-"

"Later." Yoohyeon repeated.

Jennie got up from her chair. "I'm gonna leave."

"Cool. Send me emails of our recent client. I really do want to prove him as innocent." Yoohyeon spoke.

"Fine." Jennie replied before taking her stuff and just leaving the cabin.

[Few weeks later]

Miyan entered inside Yoohyeon's room just to cough, he rubbed his chest later on, "Why do you always smoke!" He yelled at her.

"I'm working dad, I get stressed and I get frustrated." The silver haired girl replied, keeping her focus on the laptop.

Miyan walked beside her, "Theres a party-"

"No. I don't have time for family gatherings." Yoohyeon quickly replied.

"Well, I do not care Yoohyeon. You will have to join me. It's my friend's party, it's his birthday." Miyan spoke.

"Dad please no. These days I've been extremely tired-"

"Yoohyeon. You will join us. That's it." Miyan spoke locking his gaze with Yoohyeon, who stared at him with a sigh.

He walked towards the door and heard Yoohyeon's laptop getting closed pretty loudly.

Miyan closed the door and walked towards his room, not caring if Yoohyeon was angry at him.
