~
Cut people out, like tags on my clothing,
I end up all alone, but I still keep hoping,
I won't be scared to let someone know me,
Life feels so monotone, but I still keep hoping
~You can't physically run from your problems, can you?
Or in Chan's case, your cute freckled roommate that you've fallen desperately in love with and ended up kissing. You can't run from that either, can you?
Apparently you can, apparently you can disappear completely without a trace. Leaving everything you had behind.
That's what Chan did, at least.
--------------------
Felix felt, lost. To put it simply. He was a completely different person than the one he was 2 weeks before. After the elder suddenly appeared and they kissed, he disappeared again. Absolutely nowhere to be seen across the country. No one who knew him (that Felix knew) had a clue where he had gone. Felix was confused, worried and scared for Chan. Friends can be like that. That's not how Felix feels though. Quite obviously, they weren't just kissing the homies goodnight. Extra homo.
"No sign of him, then?" Seungmin smiled comfortingly at Felix, who had just shown up alone to work for the 12th day in a row. Felix shook his head, the emotionless expression never leaving his face. "I'm sure he'll show up again somepoint soon."
Felix merely nodded, the hood of Chan's hoodie (that Felix had taken, he had worn nothing* but the male's hoodies since the day he disappeared) shaking with his body. He was acting like Chan had died yet whilst it was unlikely that he had, Felix was thinking of nothing but the worst and the negative. (*well not nothing, obviously)
"Y'know what? You need a break." Seungmin began, "Take a few days off, Felix. Rest a bit."
"Really? Thanks Seungmin." Felix spoke, his voice sounding somewhat foggy in a way.
"It's okay, I hope things get better for you. I'll message you when I need you back in!" Seungmin smiled, waving towards Felix as he left with a sorrowful wave back.
"Poor guy, I'd die if you disappeared." Jeongin suddenly showed up behind Seungmin, wrapping his arms around the one-year older male.
"But you're my boyfriend, they're just friends. Chan's straight." Seungmin replied, turning and kissing Jeongin's nose.
"Ain't no way he's straight and they're just friends. I saw them making out in that alley near here a few weeks back."
"Wait, what? Really?"
-----------
Meanwhile Felix was sitting down on the ground, in the alley that Jeongin spoke about. He was leaning his head against the wall he had been pinned against, thinking about that moment. The feeling of Chris' lips dancing against his own, the feeling still lingering as he longed for more. It was something Felix had never experienced before, it wasn't lust nor fake it was just true and pure love. He knew he loved Chan, it was obvious it was mutual but he also knew that Chan didn't know it was mutual when Felix had panicked and ran off.
He was caught and dragged out of his daydreams by a loud ringing sound.
Riiiiinngggg
Olivia :) is calling...
Felix's sister rarely called him, despite living so far away in Australia. They often kept contact in the forms of messages, the odd video chat or (and this tended to be the main one) simply not doing it at all. She only called him if it was an emergency or if it was really important. The male couldn't not pick up. He wouldn't regret it either.
Olivia? Are you okay? Felix! Has a guy disappeared from your life recently? Uhh, yes? Why? How the fuck did you know that? Well my best friend, Hannah, has an older brother who showed up at her door in Australia about two weeks ago and apparently you made him realise he's queer and in love with you. He now thinks you hate his paranoid ass and that you never want to see him again. Can you come and like, collect him? He's being really annoying and won't stop sobbing apparently. His name is Chris or something? I'll be there as soon as I can get there. Awesome! And Liv? Ya? Thank you. See you soon.
He hung up the phone and immediately starting looking online for the nearest flights to Sydney. He quickly found one on the official website for his local airport and jumped from his spot on the ground, running as fast as he could to his apartment.
"Where are you going?" Jisung stood in his apartment doorway and asked, as Felix ran out of his own apartment quickly after collecting some essentials and shoving them into a carry-on bag.
"Australia." Felix panted, catching his breath for a moment.
"What? Are you kidding?!" Jisung yelled down the stairs that Felix had bolted down in a hurry. The freckled male checked the time on his phone every 5 seconds (and that's not even too much of an exaggeration) as he rushed to the airport, which was surprisingly close to the apartment building he lived in.
After almost missing his flight and a boring plane ride that was filled with nothing but nerves, anticipation and hope, he arrived in Australia. His sister met him just outside of the airport and took him all the way to Hannah's apartment.
When they arrived, Olivia left a few knocks on the door. It was soon opened by a girl, who to no one's (except Felix's) surprise looked like a younger, female version of Chan.
"So you're Felix?" Hannah asked, standing completely in the doorway and not giving any view into the room.
"Um, yes."
"You sound unsure?" She chuckled, messing with Felix a little.
"Do I? Sorry."
"It's fine, just please..." She turned slightly, revealing Chris curled in a ball on the floor of Hannah's lounge. Felix's heart felt like it was on a rollercoaster at the sight of the male. "Fix him."
"Chan?" Felix muttered, as him and his sister stepped into the room. Hannah and Olivia quickly ran towards what Felix assumed was Hannah's room in order to give the two privacy.
The elder's head lifted slightly.
"Felix?"
"Hi." Felix smiled a small smile, gazing into Chan's teary eyes.
"What are you doing here? How?" Chris adjusted his position so he was cross-legged. "I could've sworn you hated me."
Felix mimicked the elder's position. He sat down in front of him and slowly, one and then the other, took his hands.
"I'm here and I came all the way here because, well..." Felix spoke, his voice fading into a whisper. "I love you."
