CHAPTER 1

"Yes mom, I know." I said for the billionth time.

We moved here, and here, I mean Georgia. We lived in lovely California, but my mom's job transferred us, me and her and my dad, here and so far, I don't like it.

Our house is in the middle of fucking no where, and not to mention our backyard is practically a forest for god's sake! God knows who lives in there and what can attack us.. But, luckily, my school isn't that far away. It's a walking distance, but my dad insists that he drives me since he doesn't know the place too well and doesn't know anyone, let alone trust them.

I start school this Monday, so in about 5 days. It's some school called James R. High School, and I'll be attending for my 11th grade year. (Don't know if it's real, but oh well..) It isn't that sunny here.. There goes me getting tanner.

I walked up the stairs, ignoring my parents and I walked to my 'room' and looked around. My bed and dresser were nicely set up and the hard wood flooring made my feet fucking ice cold. I shivered and started unpacking my clothes. I removed my shirts from the box and almost cried.. A picture of me and my best friends from California at the Santa Monica Pier. It was 2 nights before I was leaving, that we would spend our days together.. I cried so hard the day I left I got a headache.. and heartache.

I wiped my tears and breathed heavily and continued unpacking..

-3 Hours Later-

-After Dinner-

"I'm going back upstairs to my room." I said, not bothering to touch my plate.

I stood up and my dad called me, "Molly, I'm sorry about moving all the way here, but we had to.." He said with sorrow in his voice.

"Whatever." I blew him off and ran back upstairs before they started something else with me.

I slammed my door and the tears came once again and I dropped on my bed, head in the pillows, crying harder than before. My heart beated fast and loud and I couldn't help but miss my girls.

I cried for about an hour, staring at all of our pictures through out the years we've known each other and been mental heads.

I sniffled and checked at the time and saw it was already 10 PM. I sighed, not even close to being tired and sat up and got off my bed. I walked to my large windows and just started out to nothing and no where. My eyes gazed over trees and trees and tress and a pair of eyes and-WHAT?!

My head shot to where the eyes came from and it just started at me. I got freaked out, my eyes widen in fear and the thing moved closer our from the bushes, uncovering itself and it turns out, it was some huge, gigantic black wolf with hazel eyes, just stalking me like it's prey.

I blinked twice.. WE LIVE BY NEAR FUCKING WOLVES. WOLVES THAT WILL TEAR MY INSIDES TO SHREDS.. but that's the thing.. He didn't look like he was gonna attack, let alone snarling at me. He just looked at me and tilted his head as he plopped his butt on the ground.

I have to admit it.. He was adorable. Maybe it's just the fact that he was tilting his head like a cute little puppy would.

I started back into his eyes and he howled loudly into the sky.

I continued to look at him, and after he howled loudly, he looked back at me and gave me a wolfly grin and ran back into the forest..
