The simple word bounced around the females head. The sounds of her feet were drowned out by the sounds of screams and falling cries of the innocent. Mutants had started a rebellion against their own kind once again, but this time an actual massacre has started. Humans and mutants alike were falling. ( Name) was a sole survivor from the before times, where mutants and humans had mutual understanding for one and another.

She was an old woman by now her body was frail yet she still ran to fight. Humans were such fragile and stupid creatures if you thought about it. Always jumping into fighting. Always starting a war when they could've avoided this all.

She breathed in sharply at the sight before her. The X-men, well what was left of them, were fighting what was left of Magneto and his army.

She held no weapon.

What could she do to help the X-men who helped her years ago?

That was simple, she would simply protect them with her withered down body. One man in particular came to mind. Scott Summers or Cyclops was the man of her dreams from long ago when she was younger. The man in thought was currently up against the Sabertooth. She shuddered at the fight. Sabertooth hadn't changed one bit from when she last saw him. The scars he left still fresh in her memory...

Above the screams she could hear Scott yelling for someone to help. But no one heard, well all except (Name).

Her frail body raced forward without a thought. She could make it.She would save him just like he saved her."NO" she shouted as she ran in front of Scott to take the fatal blow. It was too late for Scott to pull the human to safety she was already in front of him, the clawed hand going through her chest. Before her death he could hear her faintly say " All for you, my beloved Cyclops."-Small time skip-

The X-men had won, for now, But at what cost?

A death of an elderly woman who no one knew of, she had risked her own life to save a mutant who she loved from afar. One she could happily die for, in which she did.

In loving memory,

(Name) (Last name)Rest in peace.
