The air crackled with nervous energy as Wooyoung nervously shuffled into the practice room. KQ Entertainment, the potential gateway to his dreams, felt more like a lion's den. All eyes turned towards him, scrutinizing his every move.
Hongjoong was the first member to greet wooyoung, "Hey, you must be Wooyoung! Welcome to the team." Wooyoung gave hongjoong a subtle smile nodding his head, looking at hongjoong.
Hongjoong had his hand well, waiting for a shake from wooyoung. He looked at hongjoong confused, it wasn't until he heard hongjoong whispers, "Handshake", he apologetically laughs and quicky shakes his hand.Laughter were heard from the other members, hongjoong turned around and they all stopped. Wonyoung laughed a little, seeing how they were afraid of this shorty. But in future years, wooyoung will be one of them.
Wooyoung eyes darted towards the rest of the room. Seonghwa, the quiet elder, gave a curt nod. Mingi, flashed a friendly grin.
But it was San, a ball of controlled fire, who sent a jolt through Wooyoung. His lips were formed in a disapproving frown, and a scoff escaped them before Wooyoung could even blink."New trainee, huh?" San mocked, pushing himself off the practice mat with a so done sigh. "Took you long enough."
Hongjoong chuckled nervously, stepping in to stop anything that will start "San, just because you hate mornings doesn't mean you have to take it out on the new guy."
San scoffed again. "Hate mornings? I just hate new people messing with our routine."
Wooyoung, with a sense to defense himself from this san guy, puffed out his chest and spoke. "Hey, I'm not here to 'mess' with anything. I'm here to work just as hard as you guys."
San laughs, devoid of any humor. "Work hard? We'll see about that, newbie."
Their first two weeks together were a constant boxing match round just repeating over and over on the television. The two boys never miss a day to fight or quarrel. They couldn't even stand the sight of each other at one point.
San would critique Wooyoung, while Wooyoung was determined to prove himself, pushed himself to the limit, his frustration often spilling over into mumbled retorts.
One particular session, Wooyoung tripped, landing hard on the floor with a yelp. The room fell silent. As he winced, San's face remained unreadable, a storm brewing in his eyes.
"See?" San finally spoke, his voice laced with satisfaction. "Not quite ready for the big leagues, are you?"
Wooyoung was ready to fire back, but Jongho, usually the quiet observer, stepped in. "Enough, San. Let him get up." His voice, though calm, held a surprising amount of authority.
Wooyoung, pride bruised but spirit unbroken, glared at San. This wasn't just about proving himself to the company anymore; it was about proving his worth to this group, especially san.
"Again!" Hongjoong shouts at the group, they all groaned. Wooyoung got up off the floor, ignoring San's gaze and getting ready to practice again. The Music plays and the group continues back their practice, as the group were in perfect formation, two persons at the back, shooting competitive glares at each other.
