Loomian Lab, Mitis Town, Roria

"These are the seven Beginner Loomians that new Loomian Trainers can choose from to start their Loomian journey." Cora told Donald, "They are Embit, Dripple, Fevine, Eaglit, Vambat, Snocub, and Weevolt. Can you guess each of their types?"

Embit was a small, rabbit-look Loomian with soft warm fur. Its eyes were bright blue, its legs were red, its chest and abdomen were white, and the rest of its body was yellow. It had long yellow ears that were red on the inside. The furry tuft around its neck was also red.

"Embit's mainly red, and I'm assuming its name comes from ember and rabbit, so it's  Fire-type Loomian," Donald said.

Dripple was a Loomian that was predominantly blue with a dark blue band encircling its waist. Its eyes were large and there were two small yellow brows adorning its forehead. Just below its head was a V-shaped triangle.

"Dripple's blue, and I'm assuming its name comes from drip and ripple, so it's a Water-type Loomian."

Fevine was a light green cat Loomian with dark yellow feet. Its collar and tailed appeared to be made of folliage. It resembled a caracal.

"Fevine's a Plant-type Loomian."

Eaglit was a griffin Loomian. It had white feathers with golden markings on its hind legs. It had purple eyes, a small yellow beak, and sharp grey claws. Eaglit had three distinctive goldne lines on its forehead.

"Eaglit's a Light-type."

Eaglit happily chirped and tackled Donald. Donald caught the small creature in his arms. Eaglit chirped loudly and emitted a bright light, which caused Donald to drop it and stumble backwards. His eyes felt like they were on fire.

"Are you alright?!" Cora's assistant, Derrick, helped Donald back up.

"My eyes are rather sensitive to light." Donald informed, "I usually wear sunglasses, but my pair broke when I got hit by a truck."

Eaglti chirped—this time, apologetically—and rubbed against Donald's legs.

"This Eaglit gets excited easily," Cora said, "so we'll probably need to get you a pair of new sunglasses quickly."

Donald kept his eyes closed, and only opened them once the burning subsided. "Yeah, that would be preferred. In hindsight, I should have picked some out while we were shopping for my clothes in Cheshma Town."

"You've been correct about Embit, Dripple, Fevine, and Eaglit's typing," Cora told him, "so I bet you also know Vambat, Snocub, and Weevolt's typing."

Vambat was a bat Loomian that was a mostly dark violet color with lighter purple on its paws, chest, ears, and tail. Its wings were orange and it had an orange tuft of fur covering its nose and mouth.

Snocub was a Loomian with a large round head and a short round body with white fur that hid its eyes. Its arms, ears, and legs were light blue.

Weevolt was a weasel Loomian with yellow fur and bright bleu eyes. The fur on its chest was lighter and its face had a yellow mask-like patter.

"Vambat's a Dark-type, Snocub's and Ice-type, and Weevolt's an Electric-type."

"Correct!" Cora smiled at Donald. "You'll be helping take care of these Beginner Loomians with Derrick."

"They can be quite a handful sometimes," Derrick warned.

"It's nothing I can't handle," Donald claimed. After all, he did handle the Union and dealt with its enemies.

~Donald Na: A Hero's Journey~

The difference between dealing with the Union and its enemies versus caring for the Beginner Loomians is that Donald could not use violence. In Yeongdeungpo, Donald used his fists to force people to obey, respect, and fear him. In Roria, he could not use brute force to get the Loomians to behave.

Even if he could, he wasn't going to resort to violence against creatures that were not actively hostile or aggressive towards him. He wasn't that bad of a person.

Fevine pretty much slept all day, making her the least troublemaker out of all the Beginner Loomians.

Eaglit stuck to Donald like glue. He constantly followed the former gang leader around like a duckling. Unfortunately, Eaglit also ended up often walking in between or right in front of Donald's legs, which caused him to almost trip multiple times. Donald's reflexes allowed him to quickly regain his balance.

Dripple loved to swim in the pond, but he tended to splash a lot. He also constantly entered the pond and then exited it. He'd walk around for a bit and drip water everywhere, and then quickly return to the pond.

Vambat was also one of the least troublesome Loomians. She enjoyed flying around.

Snocub was shy and mainly hid from Donald.

Weevolt was the worst of the seven. He tried to pick a fight with everyone. Vambat, Dripple, and Snocub were the ones who fought against Weevolt. After defeating all three Loomians, he also attempted to escape from the lab.

Weevolt reminds me a lot of Wolf Keum. Donald thought as he prevented another one of Weevolt's escape attempts, Both love to fight and hate being caged up.

"Hey kid, Cora brought some lunch." Derrick told Donald, "You go and eat with her. I'll feed the Loomians."

Eaglit followed Donald to the door, and he pouted when Donald told him to stay inside the lab and eat with the others.

"How first day on the job treating you?" Cora asked as she handed him a lunchbox.

"Not as crazy as I'd imagined it'd be." Donald answered, "Weevolt's the main problem."

"Weevolt is interested in getting stronger by battling everyone," Cora said, "so he'd be suited for a trainer that is aiming to challenge the Battle Theatres."

"Eaglit seems really attached to me, despite only just meeting me a few hours ago."

"I think it's because of your hair color." Cora giggled, "He might be mistaking you for his mother."

"Eaglit, you can't leave—"

Eaglit managed to somehow open the lab's door and ran outside while holding his bowl of Loomian food. He ran over to Donald and plopped right down next to him. He chirped at Donald, and then he started to eat.

"Eaglit shouldn't get attached to me," Donald said, "because he'll eventually need to go to a Loomian trainer." If I do manage to return to my own universe, Eaglit won't be able to follow me. he government would find out, kidnap Eaglit, and experiment on him.
