Time skip to the wedding

The day of the wedding arrived, bringing with it a mix of anticipation, nervousness, and underlying tension among the soon-to-be siblings. The venue was decorated elegantly, with flowers adorning every corner and soft music playing in the background. Andrea's mother, glowing with happiness, greeted the guests with a warm smile, while Andrea's stepfather stood by her side, his eyes reflecting a sense of pride and joy.

As the guests took their seats, the soon-to-be siblings exchanged awkward glances, each one feeling the weight of the occasion. Jack, Ray, and Dre stood together, their expressions guarded yet trying to appear supportive of their mother's happiness. On the other side, Jin, Namjoon, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook stood, their demeanor polite but distant as they awaited the ceremony to begin.

The bride, Andrea's mother, looked radiant in her wedding gown, her eyes shining with excitement and love. Beside her, Andrea's stepfather beamed with happiness, his gaze filled with affection as he looked at his soon-to-be wife.

The ceremony commenced, and as the vows were exchanged, the tension in the air seemed to ease slightly. Andrea's mother and stepfather spoke heartfelt words of love and commitment, promising to support each other through thick and thin.

During the ceremony, there were occasional glances exchanged between the soon-to-be siblings, a silent acknowledgment of the new family dynamic they were about to enter. The conversations among them were polite but lacked the warmth of genuine connection, each one trying to navigate the unfamiliar territory.

After the vows were exchanged and the rings were placed, the officiant pronounced them husband and wife. Applause filled the air as the newlyweds shared their first kiss as a married couple, sealing their commitment to each other.

As the reception began, the guests mingled and enjoyed the festivities. Andrea's mother and stepfather took to the dance floor for their first dance, their smiles lighting up the room. The soon-to-be siblings watched from a distance, their expressions a mix of forced cheerfulness and underlying discomfort.

During dinner, the conversations among the siblings were polite but lacked depth. They discussed mundane topics like the weather and the food, avoiding any mention of their true feelings about the marriage and their new family dynamic.

Andrea's mother approached the soon-to-be siblings, expressing her hope that they would all get along and support each other as a family. Her words were met with nods and forced smiles, the tension simmering beneath the surface.

As the evening progressed, the atmosphere became more relaxed, aided by music and laughter. The soon-to-be siblings found themselves dancing and laughing together, putting on a facade of camaraderie for the sake of their parents.

At one point, Taehyung approached Andrea, his expression guarded yet curious. "So, how do you feel about all this?" he asked, his tone cautious.

Andrea sighed softly, her eyes reflecting a mix of emotions. "It's... complicated," she replied honestly, avoiding delving deeper into her true feelings.

Taehyung nodded understandingly, sensing that there were unspoken sentiments beneath the surface. "Yeah, I get it," he said, his tone conveying a sense of resignation.

As the wedding reception continued, the soon-to-be siblings found themselves in a moment of relative privacy away from the main crowd. Taehyung and Andrea stood by a window, gazing out at the night sky, their thoughts wandering amidst the whirlwind of emotions.

Taehyung broke the silence, his voice tentative yet curious. "So, Andrea, how's life been for you? I mean, before all this," he asked, gesturing vaguely at the wedding festivities.

Andrea turned to him, her expression softening slightly. "It's had its ups and downs," she admitted, her gaze distant as she recalled past memories. "But I guess we all have our stories, right?"

Taehyung nodded in understanding. "Yeah, definitely," he agreed, his eyes reflecting a sense of empathy. "I hope things get better for all of us, now that we're... family."

Their conversation was interrupted by Jin, who approached them with a polite smile. "Mind if I join you guys?" he asked, his tone polite yet reserved.

Andrea and Taehyung exchanged a glance before nodding, welcoming Jin to join their conversation.

Meanwhile, across the room, Ray and Hoseok found themselves engaged in a similar discussion about their hobbies and interests.

"So, what do you like to do in your free time?" Ray asked, attempting to find common ground.

Hoseok shrugged casually. "I'm into music, mostly hip hop and dance," he replied, his tone relaxed yet guarded.

Ray nodded, trying to sound interested. "That's cool. I'm more into sports, like basketball and soccer," he shared, hoping to bridge the gap between them.

Their conversation was polite but lacked the genuine enthusiasm of shared interests. Nevertheless, they continued to make an effort to engage with each other, aware of the expectations placed upon them as new siblings.

Back with Andrea, Taehyung, and Jin, the conversation had shifted to lighter topics, such as favorite movies and travel experiences. Despite the underlying tension, there was a mutual effort to connect and find common ground, however superficial it may have seemed.
