Guys. This is it. The sequel. The is where a new story begins. New characters, new places, new adventures. I hope you all like it as much as Moonlit Waves! But without further adieu, let's begin.
Ten Years later, after the events of Moonlit Waves:
Moon's POV:
"Wake up! Wake up!"
I let out a grumble of protest as somemon shook me. I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep.
"Five....more....please...." I said, somewhat awake.
"No! Get up now! Mooooom! Wake up! I want you to see daddy's cool trick! Wake up!" A little energetic voice yelled in my ear.
I slowly opened my eyes to see the beaming face of my son, Spark. I was right, five years ago. Spark was a little ball of energy. You could see it in his bright golden eyes. Eyes he got from me. He continued to shake me awake until I finally stood up and flopped out of bed. When I did, he jumped up and down multiple times and shouted with joy before running out of me and Wave's room, down the hallway and out the front door. As I started to follow him, I stopped and looked down at my left paw, or the lack thereof. I had gotten used to walking on three legs by now, but I still had phantom pain occasionally and in earlier days I'd sometimes trip thinking I still had my left paw. Wave was always there to help me though. Thinking of him made me smile.
When I finally stepped outside onto the front porch, I saw Wave playing on the beach by the surf with Blossom and Lavender, our two daughters. They were all laughing and giggling, which brought a smile to my face. When my eyes landed on the chunk of Wave's neck fin that was missing, I began to have flashbacks to that day. The day I died.
I shook my head, trying to clear my mind if those awful memories. I looked back towards where my family was and began walking towards them. Spark ran up to the handsome Vaporeon sitting in the shallows and pointed at me. Wave turned took look to where Spark was pointing and his face lit up. He was beaming as he closed the distance between us.
"Good morning, beautiful." He said, kissing my forehead.
"Morning handsome." I replied, grabbing his head and pulling him towards me, forcing him to kiss me on the lips.
As we kissed, we could hear a combined "aww" and "eww" from our children. The "aww" coming from Lavender, who was a hopeless romantic, and the "eww" coming from Spark and Blossom, both of which hated anything having to do with love and kisses. We separated and looked at the three Eevees before us.
"One day you'll meet somemon and you won't think kisses are gross then." Wave said.
"No. I'll still think they're gross." Spark said. "Now show mom your trick dad! Show her, show her!"
Wave chuckled and looked over at me. I gave him a questioning look and he just smiled. He walked over to the water and with a wink, turned into water and splashed into the ocean, disappearing. The kids gave collective cheers and "woahs". After a moment Wave materialized once again in a different spot and the Eevees cheered. I smiled at him and laughed. Wave walked back up the beach and sat down next to me. I leaned against him and watched our kids run around, playing in the sand and water.
"I hope they stay this small and cute forever." I said.
"Me too. Me too." Wave agreed, wrapping his tail around me and pulling me close.
Spark dodged Blossom as she jumped at him, causing her to tumble into Lavender. Spark watched and laughed as his sisters tried to get up. He turned to look out at the ocean but was then tackled by both Lavender and Blossom. I watched the tumbling pile of giggling, laughing Eevees and smiled. I looked at Wave and my smile turned mischievous.
