Germanys pov

My legs burn in pain as I run, people were screaming, begging, pleading to be saved or to get away. I saw my own friend Poland get eaten in front of me today, the zombies fought over his dead body.

Just thinking about it makes me want to vomit. I continue to run, I need to get away from Main Street because the street is wide the zombies have a better chance of getting you there then in a more closed space, in a closed space only a few zombies would be able to get in well a wide space many zombies could come in and you would be eaten.

That doesn't make much of a difference for me because I would be too weak to hold off one and it doesn't make much sense at all.

Oh well.

I quickly run down an alleyway, thank god no zombies were here. I stager over to the wall to catch my breath. Everything hurt.

I need to keep going if I don't want to be zombie food.

Crash!

I whip my head around to see a trash can moving.

The trash can feel over,it's top coming off. A small German shepherd walked out of it. Its fur was ragged, covered in dirt and looked malnourished.

"You poor thing!" I muttered, I kneel down "come here pup" I try to soothe it as I hold out my hand for it to sniff. The pup was cautious but slowly made its way over. When it knew I wasn't a threat it jumped on me, licking my face, it's tail wagging like crazy.

It obviously doesn't have a collar and even if it was owned they were probably dead.

"Oof!" The pup was now completely on me, sniffing, licking, probably looking for any food on me but bad thing Is that my glasses were now off my head.

I'm practically blind without them, It was like blobs of colour.

"Scheiße"(Shit) I grumble under my breath as I start looking for them. It wasn't a great time to lose them considering that it's the start of the zombie apocalypse.

The screams had died down a bit, I'm guessing that everyone is dying.

I hear footsteps coming towards me.

I'm dead I'm dead I'm dead my mind screamed.

"Hola Alemania, idiota!"(hey Germany you idiot!) it unmistakably belonged to Mexico.

I look up at him, he had his hand out.I quickly snatch my glasses from his hands and put them on.

He had the German shepherd in his other hand, his hair was messy, his hoodie was covered in dirt, and had dirty cargo pants on. Behind him was Brazil who had always been awkwardly tall, and Peru who was well, quiet.

"Come on! Get up we're heading for the mall" Mexico exclaimed.

"Alright" I mumble, I get off the floor and Mexico hands me the German Shepard. "Have you named the perro?"(dog?) Mexico asked as they walked down the alleyway.

"Not yet" I reply. "He's a cutie!" Brazil said as he came over and scratched the dog's head.

The alleyway was dirty, and crowded considering how small it was.

"Well at least the mall is empty!" Mexico said. We had explored the mall, it was completely empty. It was in good shape, only a few broken windows, and other stuff. Bad news is that the power was shut off and we had to use flashlights that we found a bit earlier.

"Hey guys!" Brazil called out to us.

We quickly made our way over to where Brazil was.He was on the second floor in a small room labeled Staff only.

He was hunched over some sort of panel. A tool box was on the left side of him.

"I'm pretty sure this is the power, I got the panel off but I don't know how to work the rest" He explained quite quickly.

He backed up so we could see, Peru was already on the left side of Brazil looking at the power box thing.

I peer over Mexico's shoulder to look at it. It's honestly not as complicated as Brazil makes it seem.
We would need to repair a few things and then replace the panel, since Brazil broke it.

"Hey Mexico? Is there anyone else who's you know, not dead?" I ask him.He ponders this for a while before speaking "Yeah, Thailand is out looking for survivors"

"Anyway, how are we gonna fix this?" Brazil gestures to the broken wires. "We need to strip the wires with something sharp, and we need a closed end splice connecter. Then you just crimp it down, maybe put some electric tape on it"

Mexico looks at me blankly as Peru heads out off the Staff only room, Brazil runs after Peru.

"Well it's a start!" Mexico smiled.

After a few minutes Brazil and Peru had arrived with the tools.

They both put the stuff on the table beside the large steel panel. I grab the pliers from off the table and grab one of the wires, I shift it over so it scrapes along the insulation taking off the cover of the wire.I do the same with the other part of the wire.

I twist the two wires together, it twirling around every other. I grab the closed end splice connecter and put it on top of the end wire peace. I crimp down the splice connector, and put some electrical tape on it.

I continue to do this for a while, and replace a few things.

I flick a few switches.

"Powers on!"

As you know I'm the one rewriting The End from @Canad1an_Id1ot . I hope I can make the book as good as the original.

If any of non English words are wrong blame google translate

(And yes I watched a five minute video on how to fix a wire for the prologue)
