(in this you cant see color until you and your soulmate see each others initials on each others finger)

Crowley jumped awake from a dream of him hitting the ground after falling from heaven, he groaned tiredly as he stretched as much as he could with the little room he had in the back of his Bentley.

He checked the time since it was still dark out, "1:00am" he growled. He hated not sleeping through the whole night, but now his mind wouldn't relax.

He sat up and opened the door, stepping out and shutting it behind him. Crowley looked up at the sky, the moon being blocked by a building.

He took out his wings, it was something he rarely does but he felt like this was a good occasion.

Crowley climbed onto the top of his car and flapped his wings, flying upwards to the top of the tall building.

He landed at the very top and retracted his wings, walking to the edge and sitting down, letting his legs dangle off the building.

Crowley looked off at the town, everything was colorless, just black, white and different shades of gray.

He glanced at the initial of his soulmate's on his ring finger, "I never asked for a soulmate." He growled under his breath, taking out a cigarette, lighting it.

Crowley looked up at the moon while taking a drag.

"Crowley." A familiar female voice said behind him, he already knew who it was.

"Shax" He said back, not taking his eyes off the moon. She walked over and sat down next to Crowley, "What do you want now?." He asked in a cold, annoyed tone.

"All of hell is tired of being outcast. We want war to decide if we stay damned or not." She declared while looking at Crowley.

"What does this have to do with me?" Crowley questioned, taking a drag of his cigarette.

"Well, we need you to help us get ahold of angelic steel to make weapons"

Crowley exhaled "You can take your idea of me helping you and shove it up your ass." He rubbed the tip of his cigarette on the floor before he flicked the cigarette off the building and stood up.

"Why won't you help us!?" Shax yelled angrily, standing in front of him.

Crowley faced Shax "There's no way out!," Crowley laughed "You were gifted with free will and look what you did with it. Be angry with your choices, not heaven, you won't win anyway."

Shax bawled her fist in anger "know your side and place Crowley."

Crowley laughed

"Right back at ya, stay out of my life, stay out of this town and stay on your side of that county line." He declared as he stood, back to the edge. He put 2 fingers to his forehead and did the 'so long' solute before letting himself fall sideways off the edge.

Shax turned her head watching in anger and watched Crowley take out his wings less than halfway to the ground and fly away.

Crowley flew back to his car and put his wings away, got in and drove to the bookshop that is now owned by Muriel. She doesn't live there though, but she did give a spare key to Crowley so he can come and go as he pleases. Muriel and Aziraphale both said he could stay there, so he didn't have to sleep in his Bentley.

When he got there Crowley took makeup concealer out his pocket and dabbed some over the top of the initial on his finger before getting out and unlocking the door.

He went in, locking the door behind him. He never liked to be alone in the bookshop, to him it felt weird to not have his joyful angel to greet him excited to see him and ramble about a new book he got.

The demon layed on the bed upstairs, reading the book that Aziraphale has been trying to get him to read for YEARS.

After reading 6 chapters, he decided to close the book and try to get some sleep but he couldn't, he was secretly worried that hell would go to war and Aziraphale would be hurt or killed. He hated how much he missed Aziraphale.

"Damn it...why did you have to leave you stupid angel...." He muttered before tearing up.
